Description
INFORMATION ON THE PORTABLE EASY LOADING ROUND BALE FEEDER
Things that make this bale feeder different than other on the market are it is designed for persons whom have livestock ( horses or cows ) that do not have large equipment for handeling the heavy round bales. Because the unit is on wheels , making it portable you can go to the field or bale pile - load and handle the bale from off the ground with just their truck and this unit . They can then put the feeder in the pastureland the animals can feed till it is empty all in one operation without the use of of a tractor to load the heavy bale into the feeder This is accomplished because - the one side of the feeder comes down to form a ramp ; spring loaded for safety purposes . There is a scissor device that goes onto the bale . Pins are inserted into the centre of the bale , the scissor connects to the pins , then a winch line pulls the bale onto the feeder The removable winch can be either an electric winch or a two speed manual one. The bale can also be pulled on with your truck . The ramp when closed forms one side of the feeder ; it is held secure with a safety latch , plus two eye and chain latches accompanied with safety pins .
There is a tray that forms the botton of the feeder t.o help lessen waste of feed .
The feeder can then be placed in the pasture . Stableizor jacks are used for loading and while it is in the pasture to stableize the feeder and to keep it from moving .
There is also another tray at the back between the wheels for minerals or pellets .
This was tested on bales weighing up to 1680 pounds.

THE FRAME IS ASSEMBLED FIRST ( SAE TRAILER FRAME DIAGRAM ) THE BACK , TWO ENDS , AND THE GATE ( RAMP ) ARE ALL BUILT
INDIVIDUALLY TN PANELS .
THE BACK AND ENDS ARE PUT IN PLACE ON THE TRAILER FRAME AND
WELDEDII~TO POSITION AT THE CORNERS . THE BACK PANEL I:S WELDED
THE TWO END PANELS .
THE GATE ( RAMP ) IS THEN PUT INTO POSITION AND WELDED ON THE
BOTTOM CORNERS ON END PANELS .
WHEN THE PANELS ARE POSITIONED ON THE CROSS-MEMBERS OF THE
TRAILER FRAME THEY ARE WELDED ONTO THE CROSS-MEMBERS.
WELD SAFETY LATCH , AND CHAINS AND CHAINS ON RAMP AND END
PANELS TO SECURE THE GATE ( RAMP ).
PUT THE STABILISER JACKS ON ( SEE DIAGRAM ).
PUT ON THE HITCH AND FRONT JACK .
THERE IS A SEVEN INCH PANEL TO BE WELDED TO THE BACK , ENDS, AND GATE AT THE BOTTOM TO FORM A TRAY . ( TO CONSERVE FEED ).
THEN YOU BOLT EIGHT INCH PLANKS TO FORM A FLOOR IN THE FEEDER .
THERE IS ALSO A MINERAL TRAY MADE AT THE BACK SECTION BETWEEN
THE WHEELS . IT HAS FIVE INCH METAL SIDES AND A PLANK FLOOR
