Description

TURBINE HYDRAULIQUE AVEC AÉRATION PAR CEINTURE INTERMEDIAIRE
DOMAINE D'APPLICATION
DESCRIPTION DÉTAILLÉE

HYDRAULIC TURBINE WITH INTERMEDIATE BELT VENTILATION
APPLICATION DOMAIN
The present invention relates to a ventilation device for a hydraulic turbine, making it possible to increase the content of dissolved oxygen from the water flowing through the turbine for a purpose ecological. Fixed blade turbines like turbines Francis and propellers are targeted by the device according to the present invention.
ADVANTAGE OF THIS AERATION DEVICE
The ventilation device according to the present invention allows to introduce atmospheric air into the water on all turbine operating ranges. Inherently, without injected air, its impact on performance is very little important. Upon admission of the a: ir, the: ~ performance of the turbine are slightly modified in proportion to the air admitted. In addition, by its mechanical structure, the device according to the present invention decreases the concentrations of stress in the wheel, increases natural frequencies by increasing the rigidity and, by modifying the flows, decreases the dynamic loads thus allowing significantly increase the fatigue life of the wheel.
SPECIAL FEATURES OF THE AERATION DEVICE AS PRESENT
INVENTION
The device consists of spacers arranged between the blades and which form ur: e localized intermediate belt between the ceiling and the belt of the wheel. This belt intermediary is hollowed out. At its trailing edge, because of the flow of water, it creates a depression = _ssion which allows to suck in air. The hollow of the intermediate belt communicates with internal channels at the blades which open out to the atmosphere and supplying air to the system.
The system is distinguished from other ventilation systems by the intermediate belt which divides the main flow of water in an upper zone and in a lower zone. Of more, the air is sucked by the depression which is created at the edge leakage of this intermediate belt. The blades don't require no thickening at their trailing edge and have therefore very usual trailing edges.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION
In Figure 1, the main direction of flow of the water in the wheel is shown by arrows. We see also how the air is supplied by channels: ~ located in the blades up to the intermediate belt and finally to trailing edge of the belt where the air mixes with water.
THE PRINCIPE OF FONCTIONMENT
The device according to the invention operates autonomously and carry on . An admitted tap:: ior ~ outside air of the wheel allows the air-water mixture to be dosed according to the needs.
VARIATIONS
There may be more than one intermediate belt and their position and length may vary. Also, he can The be periodic spacers instead of form axisymmetric shown. This invention also applies to propeller, diagonal, mixed flow turbines and all stationary vane turbines.
IMPLEMENTATION OF THIS DTSPOSITLF
In practice, the device according to the invention is installed more easily on a wheel during its manufacture. The belt, the ceiling and the blades are provided with channels to convey the air to the hollow space of the spacers.
The system outside the wheel that carries the air is quite current in hydraulic installations.
Although embodiments of the invention have been illustrated in the attached drawings and described above, there will appear obvious to those skilled in the art that changes and modifications can be made to these achievements without departing from the essence of the invention.
