Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé et un dispositif destinés à doser séquentiellement des eaux usées avec un agent désinfectant sur une pluralité de positions espacées le long d'un chemin d'écoulement (15) tel qu'un bassin de mélange (10). Les quantités d'agent désinfectant introduites sur chaque position sont proportionnées ou échelonnées de manière que la quantité sur chaque position est inférieure aux quantités introduites en amont. Le dosage échelonné permet de mettre en oeuvre un niveau d'agent désinfectant efficace pour détruire ou inactiver des micro-organismes présents dans les eaux usées, et minimiser la quantité d'agent désinfectant résiduelle restant au bout du chemin d'écoulement, tout en employant une quantité totale d'agent désinfectant réduite par rapport aux techniques de dosage unique habituelles.
