Description
The invention pertains generally to electrical power generation. More specifically, the invention relates to a Wind driven power generator with the integration of the generator and the turbine blades. The end of the blades house permanent magnets and the coils) are wound inside the housing for the blades eliminating the need for a separate generator.
The invention possesses numerous benefits and advantages over known wind driven power generators. Wind turbines produce high revolutions per minute and relatively low torque as the blades are driven by the wind. Generators require relatively high torque to spin. This creates a situation wherein very large blade surfaces are required to turn a generator reliably. With the total elimination of a separate generator, torque becomes unnecessary. The spinning action of the blades produce electricity directly. This diminishes the need for large blade surfaces and eliminates the need for any gearing or transmission system, which greatly diminishes the production and labor costs in producing wind driven power generators and substantially increases the electrical output of wind driven power generators of a given size.
It can thus be seen that the present invention provides a novel wind driven power generator, which successfully integrates wind turbines and electrical generators.
