Abstract
An universal bottom hole orienting sub (UBHO) and fishing tool & technique are designed for the retrievable probe type MWD tool which used to during oil & gas wells. The mean features of the new UBHO are to eliminate the axial shocks affecting MWD tool's performance while drilling operations and cause the major MWD tool failures. Secondly, it adapted a tight support for MWD tool into drill string with fully capability to retrieve & replace MWD tool down hole, especially in the horizontal section, result in reliable & correct transmitted data. The "Mud pushing block" fishing tool & technique using wire line fishing operations implementing the capability to fish and replace MWD tool down hole at any hole inclination, even in the horizontal section "until now the MWD tool fishing operations are limited to certain hole inclination" which lead to increase MWD's marketing value. The disadvantage of present I1BH0 and fishine technigue used for retrievable probe type MWD tool:
-Axial shocks results in drilling environments;
This kind of shocks existing while steering; & rotary drilling modes, due to drilling impacts in addition to motor vibrations.
-MWD tool jumping from UBHO key seat.;
Due to the supporting of MWD tool into UBHO key seat only by tool weight, it can jump easily causing either turning tool face and misleading MV~JD engineer result in non correct well path or while directional driller trying to jerk drill string while steering. Also MWD tool jump when turn rig pumps off.
-MWD tool hi side tool face turning;
In some cases the key sleeve bolts screw out UBHO or become loose due to down hole temperature and vibrations. The key sleeve will turn right or lift causing misleading MWD's hi side result in non-correct well path.
-MWD tool retrieve ability limitation;
Until date the retrieve ability of probe type MWD tool is limited to certain degree of hole inclination using slick line fishing operations.

Claims (8)
1-An universal bottom hole orienting sub (figure 1), comprising two removable (top & bottom) springs, retrievable cylindrical sliding sleeve, sleeve tail holding stinger key seat, latching release mechanism, latching arm, welded geometrical rib.
2-A tool as defined in claim 1, in which the key seat in the retrievable cylindrical sliding sleeve tail represents the MWD tool face hi side.
3-A tool as defined in claim 1, in which they two springs holding the sliding sleeve that adapted MWD tool to bouncing within one inch up and down lead to absorb the axial shocks.
4-A tool as defined in claim 1, in which they latching arm adapted to latch into the geometrical rib in the sliding sleeve once MWD tool probe dropped into UBHO and secured the stinger groove in the sliding sleeve key seat
5-A tool as defined in claim 1, in which they latching release mechanism activated on surface or down hole by applied certain weight on the MWD tool's fish neck to unlatch the latching arm, thereby retrieve MWD tool.
6-A mud pushing block-fishing tool (figure 2), comprising two geometrical elements, one of them attached to wire line.
7-A tool as defined in claim 6, in which one geometrical element mounted with and controlled by wire line down hole.
8- A tool as defined in claim 6, in which the second geometrical element moving in the reverse direction of the first element to adapt closing drill string inside diameter while tool running in hole and partially open while tool pulling out of hole.
