Abstract

L'invention concerne une technique de commande d'admission de connexions (CAC) pour un noeud de télécommunications, donnant une approximation de la probabilité de pertes en utilisant une fonction logarithmique génératrice des moments et ses deux dérivées partielles de la charge de travail sur une file d'attente sur un intervalle de temps. L'approximation utilise quatre variables d'état dépendant de la fonction logarithmique génératrice des moments et de ses deux dérivées partielles. Les quatre variables d'état sont: (1) un terme linéaire approchant le taux de perte logarithmique au point de fonctionnement; (2) l'argument du terme logarithmique approchant le taux de perte logarithmique au point de fonctionnement; (3) une limite de mémoire tampon utilisée au point de fonctionnement; et (4) un multiplicateur de trafic imaginaire utilisé au point de fonctionnement. Ces variables d'état varient linéairement en fonction du trafic, de manière qu'une nouvelle connexion viendrait simplement ajouter ses contributions. La commande d'admission de connexions (CAC) utilise ces variables d'état en vue d'obtenir les trois paramètres suivants: (1) une approximation q = z - log(c) du logarithme de la probabilité de perte; (2) une capacité limite B de la mémoire tampon; et (3) un multiple m du trafic imaginaire obtenu à partir d'un jeu d'essai de mise au point. Le trafic de toutes les connections est admissible dès que quatre conditions sont réunies. La présente invention s'applique notamment à un file d'attente ou un serveur uniques, et peut être généralisée à des files d'attentes et serveurs multiples.
