The key components to making this cart work are:

~ A carrying handle to direct the cart ~ Wheels to movelroll the basket or box ~ A battery operated, reversible, motor and gearbox to move or turn the wheels ~ Rechargeable batteries for power to drive the motor ~ A control switch to turn power, on or off and to make the motor go fast or slow There are some products on the market that use most of the elements listed above. Listed separately, these elements are used in many d~erent products and applications for many d~erent applications however, moving groceries by motor and a cart like this for a single individual has not been done.

Claims

Claims "The Motorized Personal Utility/Shopping Cart" is a personal folding shopping cart which can be directed by the user using a control switch to engage a motor which is powered by a rechargeable battery.

With this invention an individual person who has limited strength and mobility can move short distances, groceries and small household items from place to place, such as groceries from a local supermarket to their home.
