Abstract
La présente invention concerne un système et un procédé de communications optique dans l'espace. A cet effet, on utilise au moins un terminal configurable fonctionnant en longueurs d'ondes doubles de façon à conserver l'isolation entre les signaux d'émission et les signaux de réception, en relation avec des procédés de commutation de polarisation servant à séparer et d'aiguiller les signaux d'émission et les signaux de réception échangés avec les émetteurs (40) et récepteurs (48) correspondants. La commutation à base de polarisation permet un aiguillage des faisceaux indépendamment de la longueur d'ondes, ce qui vient faciliter l'échange de longueurs d'onde entre signaux en émission et signaux en réception. Un convertisseur de polarisation (56) passif ou commandé tel qu'un guide d'ondes plat ou un rotateur de polarisation permet de reconfigurer le terminal de communications (30) sans qu'il y ait besoin de repositionnement ni de calage de précision associé de l'optique d'aiguillage du faisceau (54, 62, 66).
