Abstract
L'invention se rapporte à un afficheur par électrophorèse doté d'une électrode de protection qui réduit les dégradations occasionnées à l'afficheur de manière mécanique ou électrochimique. L'électrode peut comporter une couche de protection qui réduit les dégâts mécaniques ou électrochimiques occasionnés à une électrode conductrice transparente. L'électrode de protection peut être une électrode perméable à la vapeur qui est une structure électriquement conductrice réticulée, telle qu'un grillage ou un treillis métallique, ou une structure réticulée recouverte ou imprégnée d'une matière conductrice. L'électrode de protection peut comporter une couche qui protège le milieu d'affichage de toute abrasion physique ou retrait par action mécanique, tout en permettant l'application d'un champ électrique destiné à l'adressage de l'afficheur.
