Abstract
L'invention concerne un dispositif d'avertissement à sécurité intrinsèque, portable, autonome et léger destiné à prévenir les membres du personnel d'une condition de danger. Ce dispositif d'avertissement est spécialement conçu pour être fixé au plafond d'une mine afin d'indiquer des conditions de manque de renfort du plafond ou autres conditions de danger. Ce dispositif d'avertissement à sécurité intrinsèque est constitué (a) d'un boîtier comprenant des parois latérales, une première paroi terminale, et une seconde paroi terminale, ledit boîtier présentant une cavité interne formée par les parois latérales et la première et la seconde parois terminales; (b) d'une alimentation électrique basse tension disposée à l'intérieur du boîtier comprenant une ou plusieurs batteries électriques; (c) d'un commutateur en contact électrique avec l'alimentation électrique basse tension; (d) d'une diode électroluminescente au contact électrique du commutateur et de l'alimentation électrique basse tension; et (e) d'un dispositif permettant de fixer le module à proximité d'une zone potentiellement dangereuse ou dans celle-ci de manière que la lumière soit dirigée vers la zone permettant au personnel de pénétrer dans la zone dangereuse. Le module à sécurité intrinsèque de l'invention est léger et portable. Lorsqu'il est activé, la diode électroluminescente émet une lumière censée avertir le personnel se trouvant dans la zone potentiellement dangereuse et attirer leur attention sur un risque potentiel. Ce dispositif est particulièrement utile lors des opérations d'exploitation souterraine des mines pour dissuader les mineurs de se rendre dans des zones où le plafond de la mine n'est pas consolidé. Le dispositif permet de mettre en évidence le risque latent, d'attirer l'attention des mineurs sur un message d'avertissement approprié affiché sur le dispositif, ce qui permet d'éviter les dangers susceptibles de se produire au-delà du dispositif.
