Abstract
L'invention concerne un moteur (10) pourvu d'un bloc moteur (12) avec un cylindre (22) de compression et un cylindre (24) de détente. Un piston (34) de compression est logé dans le cylindre (22) de compression et un piston (36) de détente est logé dans le cylindre (24) de détente. Chaque piston est relié à un vilebrequin (26, 28). Un tube (44) de pré-chambre rotative dans lequel sont définies deux chambres (48) de combustion à volume constant, est positionné dans un carter (14) couplé au bloc moteur (12). Des lumières d'admission et de détente forment respectivement des passages qui assurent la communication du cylindre (22) de compression et du cylindre (24) de détente avec les chambres (48) du tube (44). Le tube (44) lui-même est supporté en vue de sa rotation dans le carter (14) et orienté de telle sorte que son axe (46) est généralement transversal par rapport aux axes des cylindres. Le moteur (10) fonctionne de telle sorte que les chambres (48) sont successivement placées en communication avec le cylindre (22) de compression, via la lumière d'admission, puis séparées de toute communication avec ledit cylindre (22) de compression, avant d'être amenées dans une position permettant de recevoir le carburant provenant dudit injecteur (62) de carburant, et d'initier la combustion, et enfin, placées en communication via la lumière de détente avec ledit cylindre (24) de détente pour terminer la combustion.
