Abstract

When owners or guardians of dogs take their animals out for a walk they must remember to take along some sort of bag to retrieve any dog waste. Also, most especially on warm or hot days dogs will always be on the lookout for a drink of water. When the temperature reaches a certain level any canine creature wearing a fur coat will begin to dehydrate, almost upon leaving their own doorway. Such necessities as described above are everyday occurrences and can be verified by dog owners.
In order to combat some of these occurrences, the new and innovative "Doggie Takeout" is an answer to many of these daily problems. "The Doggie Takeout" is a light and durable container that will carry out a multitude of purposes. Made of plastic, this apparatus has six basic functions in one. A built-in retractable leash at the top of the hand held unit is a convenience in controlling the dog by its owner. Secondly, a screw-on bowl allows the owner to unscrew a water tight opening and thus pour water into the bowl for drinking water for the dog. This can be up to four full bowls of water. Thirdly, two separate compartments on one side of "The Doggie Takeout"
allows for the user to open the built in door frames. In one compartment are refillable baggies for dog excrement.
In the next separate compartment is a space allotted for treats, such as small biscuits or snack food for the dog. On the opposite side of "The Doggie Takeout" is a fully enclosed moulded compartment for storing the excrement. This area will be thoroughly sealed in order to eliminate odor. The bottom inner half or more of the container will be filled with water up to and possibly more than a full litre. "The Doggie Takeout" will allow the dog owner to have all of the necessary elements for dog necessities in a convenient and stylish container which is light to carry even with the water inside.
On a daily basis one can observe dog owners walking their dogs carrying supermarket bags and other containers because most communities have mandatory bylaws for dog droppings and, of course, there is the hygienic factor involved. With the new and innovative "Doggie Takeout" there should be less frustration and embarrassment for dog owners in general.

Description

SPECIFICATIONS
This invention relates to a multipurpose carrying case which allows dogs and their owners to go for extended walks while knowing that basic necessities will be looked after from the carrying case. Made of a light and durable plastic, this easy to carry product can save the dog owner a lot of time and efFort in that they can carry in one unit most of the dog's requirements, including:
1. A solid built in retractable leash 2. A container for over one litre of water 3. A screw-ofFdrinking bowl 4. A sealed dog dropping storage compartment 5. A separate refill bag storage compartment 6. A separate treat storage compartment "The Doggie Takeout" will be approximately thirty (30) centimeters (or twelve inches) in length and up to approximately forty-five (45) centiments (or eighteen inches) in length. It will be approximately fifteen ( 15) centimeters (or six inches) in width, up to twenty-two (22) centimeters (or nine inches) in width, maximum. The apparatus will be of a rounded shape allowing for various storage compartment areas. Thus it could be of a square or rectangular shape while being rounded at the sides and ends. The major purpose of the apparatus is to have it of a light yet strong and durable product that can handle the needs for which it is designed and yet, as well, look modern and fashionable. The storage compartments can be of a sliding door variety, as well possibly a lift, snap-on and open assembly, or any number of possibilities. For instance, the manufacturers may suggest a vertical slide over door for each storage compartment. it may be suggested to go with a horizontal door. It could be a push in spring mechanism or a pull out mechanism. The main purpose is for the user to be able to access the various storage areas with the least problems.
The full unit will be washable and of course durable for the outdoor elements. Particular attention will be given tot the waste storage area and in all likelihood a rubber or some such sealant will be added to ensure the user of minimum odour from the contents within.

The water area is so designed as to be fully sealed from all other compartments. That is, the bottom half or more of "The Doggie Takeout" will be so moulded as to accommodate a minimum of one litre of water. A screw on cap will seal the water in. There could be as well a snap on cap or any other such lid as to allow the water carrying area to be most functional.
The screw on or snap on bowl will cover the water spout and thus keep the product from being contaminated by outside elements.
Although the full shape of "The Doggie Takeout" is to be of a round or circular nature the more important issue is that the features be all inclusive in that each separate moulded compartment be such as to serve a specific need.
