Abstract

This 50-30,000 barrel tank is a facility to Oxidize and Purify a variety of fuels using Hydrogen Peroxide (in 30%-99% purity) before the fuel is sent to market. The attachments and scheme are designed in an open air fashion so that the Hydrogen Peroxide can not cause a pressure buildup as it performs its oxidation process on the fuel. The roof is designed to protect the contents of the tank from weather, and, hold sealed lighting for the work area. The Grid Iron work area is of sufficient size ( covering about 25% of the top of the tank) to allow for two to three persons to perform the tank operations, which are to receive the barrels, measure the Hydrogen Peroxide, and operate the mixer as the Hydrogen Peroxide is added to the fuel. After the Fuel stands in the tank for 24 -48 hours, it will be suctioned out to a preliminary or final storage tank or taken on beard a tanker truck for market. There will be a nominal amount of water and dust settled at the bottom of the subject tank, which will be hosed out of the tank at its lowest corner, and put into barrels, and shipped in water to a handling facility. The tank will be constructed of a sufficiently strong combination of Re-bar concrete and Metallic or Plastic lining (non-reactive surfaces for the Hydrogen Peroxide).
There will be a covered electric or gas motored lift shaft to the side of the tank for bringing the Hydrogen Peroxide barrels from ground level to above the top of the tank, or a separate tank holding the hydrogen peroxide from which it will be piped into the tank, where it will be administered to the fuel in measured quantities.

Description

p.l A LARGE INTEGRATABLE HYDROGEN PEROXIDE INTERMEDIATE STAGE TANK
FOR THE PURPOSE OF PURIFYING FUELS USING UNTREATED HYDROGEN
PEROXIDE IN FUELS
Description I claim as my invention, a 50 -30,000 barrel intermediate Aluminum, metal, or Plastic lined tank for mixing hydrocarbon fuels with hydrogen peroxide. The tank has a platform at the top from which comprises a delivery system of Hydrogen Peroxide to the fuel in the tank, which includes a non-reactive surface fan which is mounted from this platform to stir the petrochemical with the Hydrogen Peroxide. The tank will contain an oxidation reaction between the fuel and the Hydrogen Peroxide.
The tank will have a full roof, but with partially opened walls above the fuel level to allow for ventilation and worker access. The tank will have a sloped bottom where the reacted material (residium) removed from the fuel can settle. The tank will have a water supply to it through the top of the tank comprising of a 2-4 inch hose. To the side of the interior of the tank there will be a valve at the bottom of the tank that may be opened from the exterior, and the byproduct of the oxidation can be flushed into barrels, using a stream of water from the water supply provided inside the tank. The tank comprises a method of removing toxic nitrogens, sulphurs, and fine metals and carbon toxics from the fuel before it is taken into commercial use at the final stage tank, downstream to this tank. The fuels to be treated by this intermediate tank are Jp4 gas, regular gas, diesel, kerosene, aviation fuel, and liquid jet fuel, light crude, heavy crude, and homogenized crude.

p.4 1-Fuel intake pipe (permanent or flexible) for filling tank with fuel.
2-sloped floor of aluminum or plastic lined tank 3-byproduct egress pipe with release valve 4-lift shaft for barrels of Hydrogen peroxide from ground level to top of tank 5-roof over reception area for hydrogen peroxide barrels 6-exterior access ladder to working area 7-interior access ladder 8-hose of fresh water supply to hose out bottom of tank 9-exterior of tank 10-roof of tank with full sealed lighting for work area and tank 11-steel girded walking and working platform above fuel and tank floor.
12-shaft to mixing fan to mix fuel and hydrogen peroxide 13-plastic or permanent sump-hose to remove treated fuel to tank truck or pipeline 14-Grid iron platform for receiving Hydrogen Peroxide barrels above tank 15-Grid iron Platform for miscellaneous storage, work, and supervision above tank 16-Strapping to wrap around H202 barrels and attach barrels to lift device.

Claims (10)

1) A 50-30,000 barrel tank facility to purify fuels in a bulk process in accordance with practices required in the oil and gas industry, as a an intermediate facility to perform the fuel treatment with Hydrogen Peroxide on Jp4 gas, regular gasoline, diesel, kerosene, aviation fuel, and liquid jet fuel, light crude, heavy crude, homogenized crude, and coal, -to be located in washing tanks.
2) As in Claim 1 The tank/bed will serve as a stand alone added facility to the refinery setting, and service bulk fuel handling systems prior, as in upstream, to commercial use and delivery of fuels.
3) The tank will have a working platform from which the Hydrogen Peroxide can be administered in measured doses to the fuel in the tank/bed as described in claim 1.
4) As in claim 3, the tank's platform will serve as an access point for the separation of the fuel from the settled byproduct, accommodating a flexible polypropylene suction hose that connects to the transport truck, or an finished product tank, which will be needed after the fuel oxidation process is complete and unloading and storing of the fuel is required.
5) The roof of the tank will contain sealed lighting to illuminate the tank and the working platform,as in claim 3, and will be of a sufficient brightness to illuminate to the bottom of the tank.
6) The tank as in claims 1,2,3,4,5 will have a fixed exterior access ladder to the platform.
7) As in claim 6, The tank/bed will have a moveable aluminum interior access ladder for access to the interior of the tank
8) As in claim 3, the tank/bed will have a top mounted slurry apparatus in the form of a plastic fan to stir the contents of the tank and mix the Hydrogen Peroxide safely, and the motor will be of a spark free rating and of sufficient power to repeatedly perform the mixing.
9) As in Claim 1, The tank/bed will leave a 3 degree sloped interior to one corner so that the byproduct can be hosed or distilled out of the tank, and will have a permanently mounted egress valve controlled from the lowest point of the tank floor.
10) As in claims 1,2,3, and 4, the tank may have a catalyzing bed for the hydrogen peroxide located on the working platform to catalyze the hydrogen peroxide prior to applying it to the tank to treat the fuel.
