Abstract

A breathable film is composed of a uniform blend of two thermoplastic resin s, one having a high moisture vapor transmission rate and the other having a lo w rate. The blend is melt extruded into a film having good handling characteristics and a controlled degree of moisture vapor transmission, as determined by blend rat io per unit of film thickness.
