L'invention concerne des omega -(alcoxysilanes) N-substitués, de formule (I), dans laquelle R<1> est un groupe alkyle ou alcényle C12-C30 à chaîne droite ou ramifiée, un groupe aryle C5-C40, un groupe aralkyle C5-C40 ou un groupe R5A(CH2)p, où R5 est un groupe alkyle ou alcényle C6-C30 à chaîne droite ou ramifiée, p est un entier compris entre 2 et 6, et A est O ou NH; R<2> est un groupe alkyle C1-C12 (de préférence un groupe alkyle C1-C5) ou un groupe alcényle C3-C12 (de préférence un groupe alcényle C3-C5); R<3> est un groupe alkyle C1-C12 (de préférence un groupe alkyle C1-C5), un groupe alcoxy C1-C12 (de préférence un groupe alcoxy C1-C5), un groupe alcényle C2-C12 (de préférence un groupe alcényle C2-C5) ou un groupe alcényloxy C3-C12 (de préférence un groupe alcényloxy C3-C5); R<4> a la même définition que R<3> et ils peuvent être identiques ou différents; R<6> est un groupe alkylène divalent renfermant jusqu'à 10 atomes de carbone, éventuellement interrompu une, deux ou trois fois par un groupe phénylène; X est un anion; ainsi que sa base libre et leurs procédés de préparation. Ces composés sont utiles pour traiter les particules minérales dans le but de modifier leurs propriétés de surface.
