Description

Mâle A
Figure 2 L'invention Le nouveau dipositif se nomme perforation rétractable.

Retractable hole puncher In the field of converting paper and / or plastic into film, the perforation is widely used in order to increase the porosity. The most direct application is required for the multi-wall bag manufacturing in paper.
Old device Currently, this transformation is done using two rollers, one "oral" type the other type "female". One of them, male (A) has screwable needles extending over its entire surface, (Fig. 1). The arrangement of needles is determined in order to obtain a perforation uniform and regular as much on the length than across the width of the paper. A grooved roller (B) supports the paper in its course while he's being punched. Figure 6 illustrates this principle.
Male A
Male B
Figure 1 The arrangement of needles is fixed for each hole punch roll. he is therefore impossible to change of "pattern". In addition, the application may request to delete the perforation in a row (A) in the direction of the roll of paper. This operation is long and binding on the wrists.
A row contains all the needles passing through a groove of the roller "female".
Punch needles are like screws attaches to the surface of the roller, Fig. 2. The action of screwing and unscrewing causes the threads to deteriorate and ultimately impractical installation of needle screws. The screws themselves may be damaged by handling. Broken screws in the threads or fragile break in the needle. These consequences imply a decrease in the quality and the aesthetics of the finished product.
Figure 2 The invention The new device is called retractable perforation. It has perforation needles (1), one fixed wheel (2), a movable wheel (3) and a tensioner (4).

Figure 3 The first three parts come together to make a punch unit retractable, either retracted fg (4) or output Fig. (5). A hollow tree acts as a support.
Figure 4 Figure 5 Positioned next to each other, with tensioners between them (no 4 fig 3), they form a roll perforation Fig. 6. The main function of the tensioners is to maintain pressure on the needles when the position of the perforations is changed.
Figure 6 The new device makes it possible to eliminate or considerably reduce your negative aspects of the system conventional. Is:
1. Considerable reduction in the time required to remove rows needles

2. Élimination des maux de poignet 2. Elimination of wrist pain

3. Maintient de la qualité de perforation 3. Maintain perforation quality

tëte cylindrique six paris creux, no 5 fig.3.

Figure 9 Figure 10 Les matérieaux utilisés sont:

4. Safe handling of rollers The main innovative feature of this project is the word retractable. The needles are always present, either exits be returned. In order to solidify one of the two positions, we use a screw cylindrical head six hollow bets, no 5 fig. 3. The latter is tilted by relative to the axis of rotation of wheels to create rotating pressure on the needles. This phenomenon only occurs in mode out of needles.
The operation of the retractable perforation is after all quite simple, the fixed wheel is always secured to the hollow shaft. To do this, insert a halen head screw in the wheel fixed to the groove longitudinal section of the hollow shaft, see Fig 7.
The fixed wheel holes located near the outer shaft cone hollow, Fig. B. are the pivots for each of the needles. These last ones have the possibility to move around this axis. You can see that, in figure 7, the needles are aligned perpendicular to the fixed wheel surface. When we pivots a needle on its axis, its point disappears under the surface of the fixed wheel. That way she becomes harmless. When you tilt all the needles the same way, we get a positioning similar to figure 8.

Figure 7 Figure 8 The function of the moving wheel is to contain the needles, to guide them, to enter (Fig. 9) or exit (Fig. 10) the perforation. This operation is performed by turning on its axis the moving wheel with respect to the fixed wheel.
Figure 9 Figure 10 The materials used are:
~ For needles: C1060 steel with treatment ~ For fixed and movable wheels: Conventional high speed steel ~ For the tensioner: 3 wave spring 1074 high carbon steel All other parts are conventional.
Other design and material possibilities The wheels can easily be molded to reduce the weight. In the same idea, the plastic can be an interesting and inexpensive avenue if made in large quantity. A model to index was created with spring plungers, fig. I I. The latter removes the usefulness of the head screw cylindrical. Only a rotation of the moving wheel makes it possible to position the needles in open mode or closed. The position of the moving wheel, relative to the hollow shaft, determines the "patern". Several grooves on the hollow shaft, allow to change the "patern" of perforation.
