Abstract

A process for manufacturing a pulley assembly comprising the steps of providing an outer component (12) having a central opening with an inner surface. An inner component (10) having an outer wall is provided. The inner component is disposed in the central opening.
The inner and outer components define a molten material receiving space therebetween. Molten material is then injected into the space.
The molten material is allowed to solidify and form a locking element (70) having radially extending portions providing axial movement of the inner and outer components relative to one another.
