Abstract
The invention relates to a method for se-lectively combating Alopecurus myosuorides in cereals which comprises contacting said unde-sired plants with an effective amount of a com-pound of formula (I) or an agronomically ac-ceptable salts thereof (X, Y, R, m, n and s are defined in the specification) and to novel com-pounds of formulae (IA) and (IB) (X, Y, Y1, R, m, n and s are defined in the specification).
The new compounds show selective herbicidal activity in various crops and can thus be used for the control of undesired plant growth. The compounds can be prepared according to known methods and combined with carriers and adju-vants to form herbicidal compositions.
