Abstract

This invention relates to an object that holds sealed plastic bags of canine waste. A device designed to hang from the leash of a dog, storing unused plastic bags, and sealed bags filled with canine waste. The dog carries its own waste in the poop bag holder attached to its leash. The dog walker then has at least one hand free and does not hold the sealed plastic bag(s) of canine waste.

Description

A poop bag holder assembly used in carrying plastic bags and sealed plastic bags of canine waste. Said bag having a front side and a back side comprising of a rectangular fabric bag affixed along three sides, forming a container having an open end at the top.
A fabric lining is affixed to the top seam and kept in side the bag by the casing stitching.
A stitched casing below the top seam holds a drawstring cord.
An opening in the side seam of the bag allows the drawstring cord to exit the casing.
A knot on the outer section of the drawstring cord stops the drawstring cord from entering the casing.
A fabric pocket is affixed to the front exterior of the bag within the bottom and side seams.
A pull tab secured in the middle of the top section of the said pocket is made of soft woven fabric. It is affixed under the hook fastener.
A hook fastener is secured in the middle of the interior of the top section of the pocket.
A loop fastener is secured in the middle section of the exterior of the front of the bag.
Extending from the side top seam is a flexible woven fabric strap, with a hook and a loop fastener affixed, so that when the strap is wrapped around the handle of the leash the hook and loop fastener meet and secure the strap.

In drawings which illustrate embodiments of the invention, Figure 1 is the frontal view. Figure 2 is the frontal view with the bag and pocket open.
Figure 3 shows the embodiment attached to a leash.
Referring to the drawings, the embodiment of the invention shown, a poop bag holder 1 is the fabric bag used to carry the sealed plastic bags of canine waste. 2 is the drawstring cord which can be pulled tight to close the bag and loosened to open the bag. 3 is the casing in which the drawstring cord is held. 4 is the opening in the side seam that the drawstring comes through. 5 is the exterior fabric pocket which is attached to the bottom half and side seams of the bags exterior. 6 is the hook fastener that is attached to the exterior pockets top seam in the middle. 7 is the loop fastener attached to the middle front of the bag. 8 is the pull tab made of flexible woven fabric attached under the hook fastener that is attached to the pockets top seam at the middle. 9 is stitching that re-enforces both the side seams of the pocket.
is the strap made of flexible woven fabric that extends outward from the top side seam. 11 is the pull tab made of flexible woven fabric on the end of the strap that extends outward from the bag. 12 is the loop fastener that is attached to the lower half of the strap that extends outward from the bag. 13 is the hook fastener attached to the top half of the strap that extends outward from the bag. 14 is the fabric lining of the poop bag holder. 15 is the knot on the outer section of the drawstring cord stops the drawstring cord from entering the casing.

Claims (13)

1. A reusable fabric poop bag holder assembly comprising of a soft fully lined water resistant fabric bag which holds sealed plastic poop bags containing canine waste.
2. A reusable fabric poop bag holder assembly according to claim 1, wherein the poop bag holder hangs freely from any leash.
3. A reusable fabric poop bag holder assembly according to claim 1, comprising of a hook and loop fastener affixed to a flexible woven fabric strap that extends from the top side seam of the poop bag holder. The strap wraps around the handle to secure it to the leash.
4. A reusable fabric poop bag holder assembly according to claim 1 and 3, wherein a pull tab made of flexible woven fabric is affixed to the end of the hook and loop fastener strap. This makes it easier to take the strap on and off the handle of the leash.
5. A reusable fabric poop bag holder assembly according to claim 1, comprising of a pocket on the front exterior of the poop bag holder that is used to hold a supply of unused plastic poop bags, so they can be removed and used as necessary.
6. A reusable fabric poop bag holder assembly according to claim 1 and 5, wherein the front exterior pocket can also hold small personal items, e.g. keys and pocket change.
7. A reusable fabric poop bag holder assembly according to claim 1,5 and 6, wherein a pull tab made of flexible woven fabric is affixed to the exterior pockets top seam under the hook fastener. This makes it easier to open and close the exterior pocket.
8. A reusable fabric poop bag holder assembly according to claim 1, 5, 6 and 7, wherein stitching re-enforces both the side seams of the pocket, so repeated use of the pocket does not pull on the side seams.
9. A reusable fabric poop bag holder assembly according to claim 1, with a stitched casing located below the top seam holds a drawstring cord.
10. A reusable fabric poop bag holder assembly according to claim 1 and 9, wherein a drawstring cord in the casing keeps the sealed poop bags filled with canine waste in the main bag enclosed.
11. A reusable fabric poop bag holder assembly according to claim 1, 9 and 10, wherein a knot on the outer section of the drawstring cord stops the drawstring cord from entering the casing.
12. A reusable fabric poop bag holder assembly according to claim 1 and 10, wherein a drawstring cord comes out of the casing through an opening in the side seam.
13. A reusable fabric poop bag holder assembly according to claim 1, wherein a fabric lining helps contain the odour from the sealed poop bags filled with canine waste.
