Abstract
Cette invention se rapporte à des filtres tubulaires à membrane plane, et notamment à des filtres dont on accroît l'aptitude à séparer des contaminants particulaires, moléculaires ou ioniques de suspensions, en leur associant des champs électriques. Lorsqu'on utilise un filtre à membrane, les contaminants du liquide d'alimentation s'accumulent à la surface de la membrane de façon à constituer une couche polarisée qui empêche l'écoulement à travers ladite membrane. Les contaminants d'un liquide se chargent et lorsqu'ils se trouvent soumis à un champ électrique, ils migrent vers l'une ou l'autre des électrodes. Si les électrodes sont situées de part et d'autre d'une barrière ou membrane perméable, le contaminant peut être contraint à s'éloigner par électrophorèse de ladite membrane ou barrière. On peut rendre ledit système encore plus efficace en combinant des champs ultrasonores et des champs hydrodynamiques régulés audit champ électrique. Les champs ultrasoniques et hydrodynamiques améliorent la séparation des solides de l'eau et le champ électrique provoque la migration des particules en direction opposée à la membrane.
