Abstract
The present invention relates to a method for producing a correctly folded, biological active recombinant protein or polypeptide, comprising the steps of expression of the protein in prokaryotic cells, harvest of the cells, direct solubilization of the cells in a buffer at pH
about 8 to 11 and thereafter dilution with water and a diluent. The protein or polypeptide is preferably GH, IGF-I or IGF-II.
