Abstract

The "Caddi Cooler" is a cooler specifically designed as a golf accessory, attaching to the side of a golfer's bag, for the purpose of supplying pre-cooled cold drinks to the golfer in an easily accessible manner.
Although this invention is primarily for golfer's it can be adjusted with a carrying strap and carried independently from the golf bag.
The maximum number of standard sized, canned, cold drinks that can be placed in this cooler is 5. Various types of canned or bottled drinks can be used if they conform to the standard sized, canned soft drink, although the number of drinks which can be carried, may vary in accordance to size.
Ice packs may be used to enhance the effectiveness of this cooler, but will decrease the available space.

Description

SPECIFICATION
This invention relates to a cooler container which is used to store beverages in a cooled or chilled state.
Standard coolers are often bulky and heavy and are required to be carried in a detached manner. A typical golfer walks great distances during the course of a game pulling their clubs along with them. Carrying an additional cooler is distracting and awkward.
This invention is designed specifically for the golfer, is light weight and can be attached to the golf bag, conforming to its shape. It enables the golfer to carry cooled beverages with him/her with out any added encumbrance or inconvenience.
The caddi cooler can be attached to a golf bag by affixing the bottom S shaped hook to any lower ring or loop located at the bottom of the golf bag and by clipping the snap catch type clasp to any ring or hoop located at the top of the bag (See figures 5,6,7 & 8). If the golf bag is not equipped with the necessary rings or hoops, they can be installed separately.
Beverages can be removed from the Caddi Cooler by dislodging the cap, disconnecting the S-hook and cooler bottom from the golf bag, tilting the cooler until the beverage slides from the top and into your hand. The cooler must be reattached to the golf bag by slipping the S-hook back into place.
Although the Caddi Cooler was designed with golfers in mind, this cooler can be fitted with a shoulder strap and carried independently. Because it is light weight and small, it is convenient for bikers, hikers, fishermen and other sports or recreational activities. It's slim shape makes it easy to carry, store, etc.

Claims

The embodiments of the invention in which an exclusive property of privilege is claimed are defined as follows:
The caddi cooler is made with light weight PVC Pipe with styrofoam insulation and foam rubber inserts inside PVC end caps.
The outer shell is 4" PVC pipe (Fig.1,a), the inner tube is 2 3/4"
plastic tubing (Fig.2,a) with styrofoam filler (Fig.3,a).
The bottom 4" PVC (Fig.1,b) cap is insulated with foam rubber insert (Fig.1,c) and is affixed to the main body with non-toxic adhesive.
The top 4" PVC cap (Fig.1,d), which is removable, is also insulated with foam rubber (Fig.1e). It is notched for locking into place and has a polyester rope (Fig.1,f) attached from the centre of the lid by a cotter pin (Fig.1,g) which is secured to the body of the cooler.
There are two clasps situated on the cooler. One S shaped hook at the base (Fig.1,h), that enables the user to easily detach the bottom half of the cooler and tip, to remove drinks. The clasp situated at the top of the cooler (Fig.1,i) is also designed to clip to the golf bag but is a snap catch type style which is used to secure the cooler to the golf bag and carry the weight.
The outer shell of this cooler is covered with an adhesive backed decal (Fig.1,j) which was designed by myself to provide the cooler with a professional and eye catching finish.
