Abstract

Le tissu biologique d'un sujet vivant est irradié par une énergie optique, dont la longueur d'onde et le niveau de dissipation de puissance sont tels que la quantité d'énergie optique absorbée et transformée en chaleur dans le tissu se situe dans une plage spécifique. Cette plage est délimitée par un taux d'absorption minimal suffisant pour élever la température moyenne du tissu irradié à une valeur qui est supérieure à la température corporelle de base, mais inférieure au taux d'absorption auquel le tissu se transforme en une substance collagène. Selon le procédé de la présente invention, un effet chauffant thérapeutique est obtenu dans le tissu irradié, sans endommager le tissu par surchauffe thermique. Le procédé consistant à utiliser un système de laser réactif à faible niveau, compris entre 100 et 800 milliwatts, en mode pulsé ou continu, avec une énergie optique produite par un laser Nd:YAG à une longueur d'onde fondamentale de 1064 nanomètres, réduit la douleur dans les tissus mous, diminue l'inflammation et favorise la guérison des tissus en stimulant la microcirculation, sans effet thermique nuisible pour le tissu vivant.
