Abstract
This invention uses the strengths of one or more organic actives and enhances the active(s) natural insecticidal properties by cleansing and revealing the outer layer of the target insects. This cleansing is supplied by the emulsifiable d-Limonene which robs the insect of it's protective coating. After a short period of time the chosen active(s) will quickly bond to the body fluids of the target insect. The quantity of synergist and the choice of active(s) will afford control results from instant kill to many months of control.
Description
CA 0221492~ 1997-10-29 Specifications This invention relates to the control of insects with enhanced (synergized) organic compounds.
This new class of super active (naturally occurring) insecticides will replace the current neuro-toxin based products. Organic actives include; Boric acid, Baking soda, Garlic extracts, Capsicum extracts, Tea extracts (including tea derived from compost), Mint oils, Neem oil, Eucalyptus oils Melaleuca oils and Pine oil. The d-Limonene (synonym: Dextro-Limonene, 4-Isopropenyl-l-methylcyclohexene) must be food grade in order to prevent the formation of environmentally negative oxides. Less than pure d-Limonene will form Limonene oxide. Constituents: (Cis-d-limonene-1,2-oxide) (Limonene-2-Hydroperoxide) ( cis/trans isomers of Limonene oxide) Organic based insecticides will not damage the natural environment as nature contains many organisms which utilize this synergist (emulsifiable d-Limonene, food grade). Non-target species, soil and ~nim~
are unharmed. Pesticide resistant plants will not be required. Caution required around aquatic org~n-~m.~
This idea lends itself to individual, commercial/structural and agricultural applications (including organic farmers). The products would be used in a water based spray/mist format of varying concentrations. Synergist concentration should be between 0.35% to 25% by volumn, food grade (d-Limonene 97% to 99% pure).

Claims (3)
1. an organic insecticide spray using D'limonene, emulsified in water, that penetrates the targeted insects protective oily/waxy coating allowing the included active compound(s) direct penetration into body fluids.
2. an insecticide as in claim 1, the active compound(s) are synergized by allowing direct access to the insects metabolic fluid activity.
3. an insecticide as in claim 1 and 2, using a synergized insecticidal active, example: Boron in boric acid, causes insect mortality by binding metabolic enzymes directly instead of going through the symbiotic Protozoa of the insects gut.
