Abstract
In a devise for matching socks at the laundry area The "Sockmate" will be a very helpful invention.
The "Sockmate" will be a bag comprised of two layers of fabric, with a removable card board liner to provide stiffness. It will hang from a quality plastic hanger.
The "Sockmate" will have three rows of 2.5cm velcro strips attached to the bag. These horizontal velcro strips will attach the matched pairs of socks firmly to the bag.
There will be a 20cm by 40cm pocket at the lower part of the bag for the matched pairs of clean socks This invention will simplify the frustrating problem of mismatched socks.

I have found that using The "Sockmate" reduces the chore of locating and matching of socks in the laundry area. The "Sockm~te" will elimin~te the basket of mi~m~tched socks in the home.
The "Sockm~te can be conveniently located in the laundry room on wash days and taken to individual bedrooms with each persons socks neatly in place.
Clean socks are simply placed against the velcro fasteners where they are held securely in place. Matched pairs can then be folded and placed in the elasticized sock pocket.
The velcro f~tçners will hold the socks in place indefinitely.
Models for inf~nt.s, children and adults will be available.
The "Sockm~te" will save the homemaker time and energy and can involve family mem--bers in performing a tedious task.

Claims (6)
1. In the case of an article comprised of double thickness fabric, whose finished size is 40cm by 40cm. This bag is attached to a plastic coat hanger at its upper edge by velcro "buttons"
2. Between the two thicknesses of fabric is a cardboard backing. This holds the "Sockmate" firm for the placement of socks.
3. The fabric has three rows of velcro fasteners. The first strip is at 10cm below hanger the next two are at 17.5cm spacing.
4. This leaves a 25cm space between last velcro strip. This space contains an elastised "Sock Pocket" 20cm deep by 40cm wide. The "Sock Pocket" stores folded pairs of socks.
5. The cardboard backing, used to provide stiffness to the article, can be removed by undoing velcro "buttons" at hanger end and sliding cardboard out. This will facilitate laundering the fabric "Sockmate" when required.
6. The fabric style and type can be varied according to applications pertaining to infants youths or adults.
