Abstract
The measurement device of the present invention provides for the analysis and measurement of the three phases of oil, gas and water produced from a well head or emulsion flow line without separation. The present invention is portable but can be fixed at a location where needed. One aspect of the present invention produces corrected and uncorrected prose for all three phases. In another aspect of the present invention there is provided a multi-phase emulsion analyser for measuring the flow rates of oil, gas and water through an emulsion flow line comprising: means for entering and storing input values in memory for flow line pressure and estimatedwater cut in the emulsion; means for receiving a mass flow input signal representative of the mass flow of emulsion through the flow line; means for receiving a density input signal representative of the density of emulsion through the flow line; means for receiving a temperature input signal representative of the temperature of the emulsion through the flow line; a signal sampling means for sampling the mass flow input signal, the density input signal, the temperature input signal and generating representative values of mass flow, density and temperature; processing means for utilizing the representative values of mass flow, density and temperature; retrieving the input values of flow line pressure and estimated water cut, calculating values of flow rates of oil, gas and water; and storing the values of the flow rates of oil, gas and water in memory.
