Abstract

Bogie (120) et remorque (160) convertible rail/route, destinés à un usage à la fois routier et ferroviaire, et procédé permettant de convertir cette remorque d'un mode de transport à l'autre et consistant à assembler une pluralité de telles remorques (160) et de tels bogies (120), afin de former un train (113) et à désassembler ensuite ceux-ci. La remorque (160) possède des roues (166) rétractables dotées de pneumatiques, conçues pour la route, ainsi que trois pivots (184, 185) d'attelage montés sur l'extrémité postérieure de celles-ci et qui forment un mécanisme de raccordement rigide. Le bogie (120), parqué hors des rails et à proximité d'un passage à niveau, possède trois mécanismes (138, 153) d'engagement destinés aux trois pivots d'attelage et utilisés pour raccorder de façon rigide le bogie (120) à la remorque (160). Afin de convertir une première remorque (160) d'un mode de transport routier à un mode de transport ferroviaire, on utilise un tracteur (112) pour reculer cette première remorque (160) vers un premier bogie (120), aux fins d'un raccordement rigide de la remorque (160) et du bogie (120). On peut ajouter de manière similaire des remorques (160) supplémentaires, afin de former un train (113).
