Abstract

PURPOSE Dispensing container for the controlled manual dispensing of a large variety of nails, screws and other like fastners through the front end of the bottom asjustable track by manual pulling of either the right or left hand determined by positioning of container on user chest opposing the pulling hand.

Description

~- SPECIFICRTION

~ DISPENSER UNIT Manual operated, gravity assisted supply of fastners from the bottom adjustable track (fig. 6). Easy access to eitherthe right or left pulling hand resulting from user positioning the dispenser across the chest which is supported by an adjustable shoulder strap ~ PHYSICRL DESCRIPTION Dispenser is a plastic injected two halved container unit (Fig. 7) joined by screws, with an opening top lid for loading over a rectangular body section(Fig. ~)which tapers toward the front end (Fig.l). The entire bottom length is a reinforced adjustable track which can be manuallly widened or narrowed for sorting and positioning of fastners by two fixed sping regulated hand adjusted screws. (Schematic 2, detail 3).
Dispensing regulated by a flexible metal tab at the front end/nose of unit(Schematic 2, detail 1). Support and positioning of dispenser across chest with adjustable strap connected to slot oppenings on container (Fig.5) See drawing for aproximeted dimensions p~ge I

-~ DESIGN PRODUCT RDVRNTRGES~ Manual handling of fastners typically limited to waist positioning apron or pouches. Our dispenser enables left or right hsnded user a confortable across chest, slightly under arm positioning which can be very advantageous where bulky pouches or nailbags limit movement such as ladder work or bent over low ground work. Our dispenser holds, sorts and positions fa~tners of various kinds point down to be hand pulled from dispenser when needed one at a time or several at a time depending on application and fastner type.

Claims (5)

1. "NAIL DISPENSER". Being a container like, with two openings one at the top, for loading a variety of fasteners nails, screws, etc.(Fig.4) and the other at the bottom (Fig.9), forming a length wise narrow opening (Track)to allow the items in the container to protrude point down the bottom, (Fig. 6 and 2). Allowing the fastners to slide to the front opening (Fig.1). for easy pulling through the front oppening.
2, "NAIL DISPENSER" according to claim 1, characterized in that the lower part of the walls of such container slant, inwards at an angle between 30° to 45° (Fig. 3), terminating in a adjustable narrow opening, which permits the bodies of various sized fasteners, to go through the narrow opening (fig. 9 track) at the same time stopping the head of such fastners being wider than the body from passing through the track opening (Fig. 2).
3. "NAIL DISPENSER" according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the container is provided with two pair of openings (Fig, 5) for the attachment of a adjustable shoulder strap ). Permitting the light shaking of the container to unclog the items by this action, and allowing the items to right themselves point down in the track opening (Fig. 2).
4. "NAIL DISPENSER" according to claim 3, characterized in that the container is provided with a small flexible metal tab (fig. 8) attached to the front end of the container to restrict dispensing until pulled through such opening with little effort.
5. "NAIL DISPENSER" according to claim 4, characterized in that the dispenser can be adjusted for various thicknesses of fastener bodies, by hand adjustmnet of two screws with a small spring between the walls inserted over the screw (Schematic 2, Detail 3 ), this arrangement provides outward pressure on the walls of the dispenser to page 3 the maximum opening, the sides of the track oppening can be forced to closed down the walls to a different sized opening, counter reacting the action of the springs, and thus maintaining the desired track opening at a constant size for the particular chosen fastener.
