Abstract
Grid-shaped reinforcement strip for reinforcing horizontal masonry joints. The strip comprises a number of reinforment steel wires (1, 2) running in the longitudinal direction, and a structure of one or more connecting wires (3) which are spot welded to the side edges of the reinforcement wires and have a round cross section with a diameter that is not more than the thickness of the reinforcement wires.
The reinforcing wires are flat-rolled before the welding operation, so that the welds have an unflattened structure. The side edges of the reinforcement wires to which this spot-welding is done can be flattened by counter-rolling. Such reinforcement strips can be more easily manufactured in very thin embodiments, the use of which makes it possible to decrease the thickness of the masonry joint.
The reinforcing wires are flat-rolled before the welding operation, so that the welds have an unflattened structure. The side edges of the reinforcement wires to which this spot-welding is done can be flattened by counter-rolling. Such reinforcement strips can be more easily manufactured in very thin embodiments, the use of which makes it possible to decrease the thickness of the masonry joint.
