Abstract

On produit des résines constituées de mélanges, obtenus in situ par catalyse, de résines d'éthylène à large répartition bimodale de poids moléculaires. De telles résines se caractérisent par le mélange d'une composante à faible poids moléculaire et d'une composante à poids moléculaire élevé, la fraction du poids de cette dernière dépassant zéro. De façon générale, les rapports des poids de ces deux composantes peuvent être modulés dans une très large fourchette. Une telle résine présente une réparation de poids moléculaires caractérisée par MFR ou Mw/Mn. Les résines à répartition bimodale de poids moléculaires peuvent s'utiliser en couches sur des équipements existants et offrir une bonne aptitude à la mise en oeuvre pour la production de lamelles de soufflage, ainsi que des films à FQR excellent. Ces résines présentent une tendance réduite à l'accumulation en bord de filière et au dégagement de fumée dans les utilisations directes.
