Detailed description of the preferred embodiment.
In Fig. 1 there is illustrated one form of a conventional cash register means designated 1 that includes a stand 2 with a recess to receive a conventional cash drawer 4. Mounted on the stand 2 is the cash register 5 with a conventional numerical keyboard 6, screen 7 to view the transaction and an upper area 8 wherein a receipt would appear to give to the customer.
The drawer 4 is usually spring loaded to open upon completion of the sales transaction so the sales clerk may deposit the cash or checks and make change.
Preferable in most cash register means or consoles 1 each cash drawer 4 is filled with a removable cash drawer insert designated 9. The mount 9 includes side wall 10 and 14 and rear wall 30 (see Fig. 4). The bottom 26 extends from the rear wall and is generally flat to a front portion 27 that is curved upwardly and terminates on the same horizontal plane as the top edge 11 of side wall 14 and 10.
In addition the insert 9 includes a forwardly extending mounting flange 29.
The interior of the insert 9 is fitted with coin compartment 12 in the front so that coins may be slid up to curved front portion 27 for easy removal.
Behind the coin compartment 12 are a series of paper currency compartments 13 to receive paper currency of various denominations and possibly checks.
The paper currency compartments 12 are each elongated with rear wall 30 and front wall 28 designing the elongated dimension. The side dimensions may be designed by walls 15 and or side wall 2 1 6273~

Mounted on the stand 2 is the cash register 5 with a conventional numerical keyboard 6, screen 7 to view the transaction and an upper area 8 wherein a receipt would appear to give to the customer.

3 of 6 10 and 14.
The front wall 28 also defines the coin compartments 12 usually each paper currency compartment is fitted with a conventional wire or metal spring loaded bail 18 that is secured to the mounting flange 29. A bail 18 is lifted manually by the user for access to the currency 16 in one or more of the compartments 13 and they usually assume open position off centre from the vertical so they remain in the lifted or up position until they are pulled back down to rest on the bill or paper currency 16. Such bails 18 are conventional in cash drawers 14 except the design and shapes vary depending upon the manufacturer.
While most cash register complexes 1 include cash drawer inserts 9, others may only use the cash drawers 14. In either case the invention will operate with which ever arrangement is utilized, and the terms "cash drawer insert" and "cash drawer" may be used interchangeably.
Now turning to the present invention a coin change receptacle generally designated 19 is provided. The receptacle 14 includes a bottom 25 that extends from rear wall 21 to front 20 that is curved upwardly and termin~tçs on the same horizontal plane on the top edge 24 and also top edge of the cash box 11 (see fig. 2) and wall 23. It also includes a rear extension 22. Body 19 is inserted into paper currency receptacle as defined by rear wall and front wall 30 & 28 (see fig. 4) after the removal of boil 18 from any particular receptacle or compartment. Thus body 19 can be used as coin change receptacle conveniently. The rear wall 21 is designed to stop coins that may hide under flange 29 a place difficult to reach easily. Extension 22 is designed to keep the body 19 fitted to the paper change receptacle.
