Abstract
The Center Beam Golf Shaft can be used in metal, graphite, compo-site or wooden shafts.
The typical modern golf shaft design is a hollow, tapered circular shaft approximately 30 inches to 40 inches long, depending which club the shaft is used for. It is made of very thin material to give it strength and flexibility. Because it is circular, the flexibility of the shaft is equal in all directions.
The Center Beam Golf Shaft has a metal beam, or a graphite beam, or a composite beam, depending on the shaft you are using the beam in. The tapered beam is installed down the center of the tapered circular golf shaft, and is, depending on the type of material that it is made of, welded, soldered, glued, epoxyed etc. to make the beam and shaft one piece.
This new shaft has decided advantages over the other shaft in that the beam changes the degree of flexibility and the direction of the flexibility angle. The flexibility angle will now be more horizontal compared to equal at all angles. The horizontal flex gives the Center Beam Golf Shaft the ability to direct the golf ball in a straighter line.
The advantages to the golfer is enormous. Golfing will become more accurate. The metal shaft will have a metal beam inside. The graphite shaft will have a graphite beam. The composite shaft will have a composite beam. This will make it easier to bond the pieces into a one-piece shaft.

P.2 DESCRIPTION
The flexibility of the center beam golf shaft can be changed by having the beam thickness changed. A thin beam is more flexible than a thicker beam - so you have choices.
The regular circle shaft's flexibility is equal in all directions of the circumference.
Hollow circular golf shaft.

Golf shaft with center beam built in.
Even though it is circular, it has more flex horizontal to the beam and less flexible perpendicular. The amount of flex can be adjusted by the thickness of the beam. A thin beam is more flex-ible than a thick beam. You can have choices; (~

DESCRIPTION
The Center Beam Golf Club shaft is made of wood, such as Hickory, Oak, Ash, Beech and is made of two equal half pieces.
Each piece together, forms a square ended shaft.
Each side piece is then routered, dadoed or sawed down the inside center, the length of each side piece.
~ 7 ~
The cut is one half depth of the width of the square center beam so when placed together, the cut is square.
The cut is one half of the diameter of the center round beam so when placed together the cut would be round. The cuts are varied in sizes to accommodate a variety of sizes of center beams.
Square Beam Rods Round Beam Rods Square Ended Shaft Square Ended Shaft Beam installed Beam installed ~ l 5 Cl 3 ~c) When laminated together the three pieces of each shaft will form a square ended shaft with a square beam or a square ended shaft with a round beam. The choices of a variety of center beams and a variety of sizes of center beams allows me to control the sizes and weights and flexibilities of each wood shaft. Materials used for center beams, steel, hardened steel, titanium, aluminum, brass, graphite, fiberglass or composite material.
The laminated shafts are now ready to be made into round wooden shafts with wooden grips by using lathes, files, grinders, sanding and laminating grips and finishing with signatures and a variety of varnishes.

Claims (6)
1. A putter shaft, as used in golfing, made of wood with a center beam of metal, graphite or a composite material, laminated together, will be stronger than other wood shafts.
2. The beam laminated shaft as defined in claim 1, being stronger, can be made thinner than other wood shafts and therefore be made more flexible which is desired for putter construction.
3. The grip end of the putter shaft as defined in claim 1 will be laminated with a variety of hard woods, formed to make a grip as designated by the rules of golf.
4. The grip as defined in claim 3 will be solid to the feel, as compared to the old leather or rubber grips of putters which are soft.
5. The putter as defined in claim 1 or claim 2 or claim 3 or claim 4 is designed and finished not only to be different than all other putters but also to be very attractive as well as very competitive as a putting instrument.
6. The regular golf shaft as used in golf woods or golf irons, when made with a center beam insert, will inherit greater strength and durability than other golf shafts of today.
