Abstract
Rouleau conducteur thermique (10) pour utilisation dans des copieurs. Dans une application, le rouleau est chauffé à la vapeur et chauffé par induction et comporte une couche de céramique chauffante (14) formé par projection plasma d'un matériau céramique pour former une couche de céramique chauffante électriquement conductrice de résistance préchoisie et contrôlée. Plusieurs méthodes sont décrites qui permettent de contrôler la résistance de la couche de céramique chauffante (14). La couche de céramique chauffante (14) est scellée avec un produit de scellement (24) à faible viscosité, telle la cire de carnauba, dans le but de protéger la couche de céramique contre la pénétration de l'humidité. Un courant électrique est appliqué au mandrin (11) ou à proximité de celui-ci et est conduit radialement vers l'extérieur à travers la couche chauffante (14) à une couche métallique extérieure mise à la terre. On peut ajouter une couche de contact extérieure (16) en métal, en céramique ou en polymère.
