Abstract
A hand-held bidet apparatus made of hard plastic or metal is provided, which the user attaches by means of a snap-on or threaded connecter to a conduit leading to a tap assembly adjusted to the desired water temperature of the user. Water released from the tap moves through the conduit to the bidet and stops at a water release valve and button. Depressing the button releases the water into the mouthpiece of the bidet. The deep concave shape of the mouthpiece, which may be circular or oblong, directs the stream of water to the tip of the mouthpiece, which deflects the stream outwards, at an angle of approximately 90 degrees with respect to the linear axis of the bidet assembly, so as to contact the user. The waste water reflects off the user and must exit through the aperture in the bottom of the mouthpiece, thus providing the user with a constant stream of clean water.
The portable snap-on connector of the apparatus permits the user to detach and remove the device, preventing others from using it. As well, for hygienic purposes, the mouthpiece of the device may be soaked in a container of anti-bacterial cleaning solution which need not be located where the bidet is used.

Description
SPECIFICATION
The invention relates to a hand-held bidet assembly with provision for waste water drainage.
A traditional fixed bidet directs a stream of water upwards towards the user but cannot be applied in close proximity without waste water deflecting from the bidet back towards the user. A portable shower head, used as a substitute for a bidet, presents the same problem. The effect is to potentially drive bacteria and waste up into sensitive body openings (urethra, anus, vagina). Devices of this nature are, moreover, not detachable, and therefore present hygienic problems in terms of multi-user function and cleaning of contaminated elements.
I have found that the disadvantage of waste water deflecting back to the user may be overcome by providing a means for waste water to escape immediately after coming in contact with the user at close proximity. The path of escape of the waste water is through an aperture in the mouthpiece of the hand-held bidet. To deal with adverse hygienic circumstances, the portable snap-on or threaded connector of the apparatus permits the user to detach and remove the device, preventing others from using it. As well, for hygienic purposes, the mouthpiece . ` 2149839 of the device may be soaked in a container of anti-bacterial cleaning solution which need not be located where the bidet is used.
In drawings which illustrate embodiments of the invention, Figure 1 is a 45-degree rotational view of the embodiment.
Figure 2 is an end plan view of the mouthpiece of the embodiment.
Figure 3 is side plan view of the embodiment.
Figure 4 is a top plan view of the embodiment.
Figure 5 is a top plan view of the mouthpiece of the embodiment.
Figure 6 is a bottom plan view of the embodiment.
The apparatus illustrated comprises a hand-held bidet made of hard plastic or metal which the user attaches by means of a snap-on or threaded connecter, as shown in Figures 2, 3, 4, and 6, to a conduit (not shown) leading to a tap assembly (not shown) adjusted to the desired water temperature of the user. Water released from the tap moves through the conduit to the bidet and stops at the water release valve and button (Figures 1, 3 and 4). Depressing the button releases the water into the mouthpiece of the bidet (Figure 1 and 4). The deep concave shape of the mouthpiece, which may be circular or oblong (Figure 1), directs the stream of water to the tip of the mouthpiece, which deflects the stream outwards, at an angle of approximately 90 degrees with respect to the linear axis of the bidet assembly, so as to contact the user. The waste water reflects off the user and must exit through the aperture in the bottom of the mouthpiece (Figures 1, 4, 5, and 6) thus providing the user with a constant stream of clean water.
