3 The present invention relates to a chair leg assembly, 4 and more particularly to a chair leg as3embly with three leg3.
6 Conventional chair leg a3semblies are 3hown in Figs. 5 7 and 6. Iiowever, by such an arrangement, there are still 8 some shortcomings in the conventional chair leg assemblies.
9 There will be a more complete and suf f icient illustration in the detailed de3cription of the preferred 11 embodiment3, concerning the conventional chair leg 2 a3s 1; P8~
3 The present invention has arisen to mitigate and/or 14 obviate the above-mentioned disadvantages of the conventional chair leg a88: 1 iPFI.

17 The primary objective of the present invention i8 to 18 provide a chair leg as3embly with three legs for cooperating 19 with a 3eat po3t of a chair.
In accordance with one a3pect of the pre3ent invention, 21 there i3 provided a chair leg a3sembly c ~ ~i n~ a tubular 22 sleeve member rotatably mounted around a lower end of a seat 23 post of a chair, three exten3ion leg3 each having a fir3t 24 end fixedly mounted to the tubular sleeve member, three 3upport member3 each horizontally formed on a 3econd end of 26 a corresponding one of the exten3ion leg3, 3ix pivot member3 27 each rotatably mounted on an under3ide of a oorre3ponding 28 one of di3tal end3 of each of the 3upport member3, 3ix pair3 .

21~707 of wheels each pair rotatahly mounted on an underside of a 2 corresponding one of the pivot members.
3 Further objectives and advantages of the present 4 invention will become apparent from a careful reading of the detailed description provided hereinbelow, with appropriate 6 reference to the accompanying drawings.

21 Dp~ TT~ C-'I~T l~lr TTT~ ~ T`~
22 Ref erring to Fig . 5, a f irst conventional chair leg 23 assembly 80 in accordance with the prior art is provided for 24 cooperating with a chair 8 which comprises a seat portion 82, a backrest 83 vertically formed on an upperside of the 26 seat portion 82, a seat post (not shown) fixedly mounted on 27 an underside of the seat portion 82, the chair leg assembly 28 80 comprising a tubular sleeve member 84 rotatably mounted 21~17~7 around a lower end of the seat post, three legs 81 each 2 having a first end attached to the sleeve member 84, and 3 three pairs of wheels 85 each rotatably mounted on a second 4 end of a corresponding one of the legs 81. By the above-mentioned installation, when the seat portion 82 together 6 with the backrest 83 is rotated to a position as shown by 7 phantom lines in Fig. 5, a user is apt to fall down when 8 exerting a large force on the backrest 83 by his/her back 9 due to a sliding movement of the wheels 85, 80 easily injuring the user.
11 Referring to Fig. 6, a second conventional chair leg 12 assembly 90 in accordance with the prior art has a structure 13 similar to that of the first conventional chair leg assembly 14 80 except that five legs 91 are provided instead of the three legs 81. By such an arrangement, the costs required 16 for manufacturing the chair leg assembly with five legs are 17 much higher than that required for fabricating a chair leg 18 assembly with three legs, 80 greatly decreasing the 19 competitive ~ lr~h;lity of the pbeamucts. In addition, a user has a tendency to put his/her feet respectively on a 21 corresponding one of the legs 91, thereby easily extending 22 his/her legs too openly, 80 causing an inappropriate 23 attitude and thereby not easily retaining himself /herself in 24 a comfortable gesture during long-term sitting.
Referring to Figs. 1-4 and initially to Figs. l and 2, 26 a chair leg assembly 10 in accordance with the present 27 invention is provided for cooperating with a chair (not 28 shown) which comprises a seat portion (not shown) and a seat post ( not shown ) f ixedly mounted on an underside of the seat 2 portion, the chair leg assembly 10 comprising a tubular 3 sleeve member 11 rotatably mounted around a lower end of the 4 seat post of the chair, three extensioll legs 12 each having a first end fixedly mounted or Lntegrally formed to the 6 tubular sleeve member 11 and a second end, three support 7 members 13 each horizontally formed on the second end of a 8 corresponding one of the extension legs 12 and each having 9 two distal end3 with the second end of associated the extension leg 12 disposed at a mediate position 11 therebetween, six pivot members 15 each rotatably mounted on 12 an underside of a corresponding one of the distal ends of 13 each o~ the support members 13, and six pairs of wheels 14 14 each pair rotatably mounted on an underside of a corresponding one of the pivot member~ 15. Preferably, each 16 of the extension legs 12 i8 equi-distanced with each other.
17 It is appreciated that each of the support members 13 has an 18 arcuate shape in section as shown in Fig. 2 or is formed as 19 a straight beam in section aG shown in Fig. 3.
Referring to Fig. 4, the tubular sleeve member 11 has 21 three receiving sockets 111 horizontally defined therein, 22 and three lug portions 121 are provided each extending 23 outwardly from the first end of each of the extension legs 24 12 to be securely engaged in a corresponding one of the receiving sockets 111 by means of a bolt (not shown).
26 Accordingly, a chair leg assembly in accordance with 27 the present invention has the f ollowing advantages and 2 8 benef its:

21~17~

( 1 ) ~he three support members together with 8iX pairs 2 of wheels ~orm a secure structure for stably supporting the 3 chair.
4 ( 2 ) The costs required f or manuf acturing the chair leg assembly with three legs are much lower than those required 6 for fabricating a chair leg assembly with five legæ, thereby 7 greatly increasing the competitive capability of the 8 pbeamucts.
9 (3) A user can put his/her ~eet respectively on a COL~ ~D~ ding one of the two distal ends of the same support 11 member, 80 avoiding extending his/her legs too openly, 12 thereby retaining himself/her3el~ in a more comfortable 13 posDture.
14 It should be clear to those skilled in the art that further embodiments of the present invention may be made 16 without departing from the teachingD of the present 17 invention.
