Abstract
L'objet de cette invention, à savoir un laser et un procédé pour produire une lumière laser dépolarisée, appartient au domaine de la production de rayonnements laser. Dans l'un de ses modes de réalisation, ledit laser comprend un matériau à effet laser non biréfringent à l'état solide (18), une source optique à diode laser (S) et un élément de retard optique biréfringent (24), pour que la lumière provenant de la source optique à diode laser soit transmise vers le matériau à effet laser, pour que la lumière laser produite par le matériau à effet laser soit réfléchie vers le coupleur de sortie (20) de façon à former une cavité optique pour le matériau à effet laser et pour qu'il se forme dans cette cavité une lumière laser multimode à une seule ligne ayant au moins deux modes laser stationnaires longitudinaux, se caractérisant par deux polarisations linéaires orthogonales étroitement espacées ayant approximativement le même niveau de puissance.
