Abstract
The electric power B-B-Q grill set, easy to use and clean, is composed of a shell base, a lid, a partition plate, a heating element assembly, an insulated electric socket, a cooking grid and an electric unit. The shell base and the lid are symmetrical to each other and they both are rectangular-shaped plates with peripheral area larger than bottom area, which contributes to the advantage of not only increasing the grilling zone but decreasing the packing size of the entire set. The wire of the heating element assembly is wound like the letter U, which makes the heat generated be evenly distributed among the grilling zone. Furthermore, a probe thermostat is affixed to the electric unit, and thus after the probe goes through a specific hole in the insulated electric socket and reaches the vicinity around the heating element assembly attached to the shell base, the probe senses and adjusts the heating condition of the heating element assembly; therefore ensures the safety of using this device.
Description
ELECTRIC POWER BAR-B-Q GRILL SET
TECHNICAL FIELD
The invention contribute to the structure of an electric power BAR-B-Q set especially to the one that combines such advantageous points as easy application, safety in use, even distribution of heat on grilling zone, easy cleaning, larger grilling area and lighter weight.
BACKGROUND ART
0 There are quite a few disadvantages in often-seen, traditional grill set using charcoal or gas as heating power. For example, the charcoal-burning grill set has such defects as difficulties in lighting fire, cleaning after use, controlling heat level during heating process, and as the unsuitable indoor use (due to its generating of noxious carbon-monoxide), the damage to the exterior coating by extremely high temperature etc., while used. Despite it somewhat improved design, the gas-burning grill set, on the other hand, still can often be noticed with its improper arrangement in the gas-burning system causing the grilled food to generate toxin or poisonous gas endangering human body.
Despite the fact that currently there are quite a few grill sets adopting sanitary, easy-to-use, safe and light-weight heating element assembly as their - heating power, they are still considered less efficient for more than several defects in design; for instance, the improper positioning of the heating wire on the heating element assembly causing uneven distribution of heat on the grilling zone, the lack of temperature-sensing control device in the heating element assembly resulting in the destruction of the heating wire by over-heating, the defect of electric leakage and even the danger in using.
Besides, there is another common defect about traditional grill set: in the design of shell base, the bottom area of a common grill is the same as the grilling area; therefore, in order to increase the grilling area, the bottom area also has to be increased accordingly; thus the entire set becomes rather bulky and cumbersome in size, which not only hinders carrying of such sets, but causes wastes in manufacturing and packing or inconvenience in storing as well.
DISCLOSURE OF THE INVENTION
In viewing all the above mentioned facts and issues, the first feature of this invention intends to provide consumers with a sophisticated electric power B-B-Q grill set which can overcome all the said technical problems in one time.
The second feature of this invention intends to provide an electric power grill set structure with the area of the upward peripheral portion larger than that of the bottom in its plate-shaped rectangular shell base, and with back side of the lid pivoted around that of the shell base so that the lid can be functioned to open or close. Due to the fact that the area of the downward periphral portion of the lid is the same as that of the upward peripheral portion of the shell base, the entire set is benefited with a larger grilling zone and a smaller packing size as its advantage.
The third feature of this invention intends to provide an electric power grill set structure with the heating wire of the heating element assembly wound like the letter U, which evenly distributed the heat on the grilling zone.
The forth feature of this invention intends to provide an electric power grill set structure with a probe thermostat attached to its electric unit. When in use, the probe can be pushed through the specific hole in the insulated electric socket to reach the vicinity of the heating element assembly installed to the shell base, and thus can be used to sense and adjust the heating condition of the said assembly;
therefore simultaneously ensures the safety of use.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
Fig.l is an exploded perspective view of this invention showing all the major components with their adjuncts in their respective assembling positions and orders.
FIG.2 is a top, partly sectional view of this invention in order to delineate the relative position between the probe thermostat and the heating element assembly; and Fig.3 is a side, partly sectional view of this invention in order to delineate the evenly distributed lava rocks on top of the partition plate.
BAST MODE FOR CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
As illustrated in Fig.l, this invention includes a shell base l, a lid 2, a partition plate 3, a heating element assembly 4, an electric socket 5, a cooking grid 6, and an electric unit 7 as major components with their respective, functional accessories attached.
The 2 symmetrically installed stands 12 are fixed with screws to the bottom 11 of the shell base 1, letting the base make a firm standing and keeping a proper distance between the heated shell base 1 and the table or the supporting level on which it stands so as to prevent possible burning or damage. Further, a heat-insulation-oriented wooden handle 13 is mounted to one exterior side wall 13 of the shell base with 2 screws so as to adjust its minor position or location when it gets pretty hot during grilling.
The shell base 1 appears as a deep, rectangular plate; with the area of its upward peripheral portion 15 larger than that of its bottom 11, the base 1 contributes to the benefit of making the entire set possess a larger grilling zone and a smaller packing size.
The shape of lid 2 is symmetrical to that of shell base 1. The area of downward peripheral portion 21 of the lid is the same as that of the up ward peripheral portion 15. The lid 2 is linked to the shell base through such channel: 2 clevis pins 24 first go through 2 secure hinges 16, protruding from the base's 1 back side edge, then through the axle hole 23 on reserved, stairlike portion 22, and finally are locked and fixed by 2 hair pins 25, that it can be operated to open or close. In addition, a bakelite handle 26 for heat-insulation purpose is installed with screws onto the front side of the lid 2 to facilitate the opening and closing while in use.
A shallow partition plate 3 is horizontally placed over the bottom 11 of the shell base. The lustrous surface of the plate is able to reflect the downward radiated heat up and its concave, shallow portion 31 can be used as container for the fat oil dropping down while grilling.
The heating element assembly 4 is horizontally placed inside the shell base 1 with proper distance to the said plate by pushing the connecting head 41 of the assembly through the side wall of the base and then being fixed to the insulated electric socket 5 made of bakelite. The heating wire 42 of the heating element assembly 4 is wound like the letter U to let the heat be distributed evenly on the grilling zone.
The cooking grid 6 is placed horizontally upon the upward peripheral portion 15 of the shell base with a proper distance over the heating element assembly.
In addition, the electric unit can be optionally connected to the said electric socket to provide power for the heating element assembly. There is an adjustable switch 71 on the electric unit for transmitting electric power. The switch has a structure like that of an ordinary power transmitting switch. Moreover, a protruding probe thermostat 72 is located on the front end of the electric unit; the probe can be pushed through a bored hole 51 in the electric unit so that the probe's point 72a can reach the vicinity of the heating element assembly 4 in the shell base (as illustrated in Fig.2) and senses and controls the heating of the assembly 5; thus ensures safety in use.
After all the afore-mentioned parts have been assembled and procedures been accomplished, the said set does possess the advantages of being easy to operate, safe in use, easy to clean, evenly distributed with the heat on the grilling zone, enlarged with the grilling area, and light-weight.
Above all, what worth mentioning most is that a layer of evenly distributed lava rocks 32 can be optionally put on this invention, making it possible to gather all the heat generated by the heating element assembly and to prevent further emission of -the heat. Besides, the said partition plate 3 can be replaced with a grease tray having non-lustrous surface and a deeper depression so as to perform all the above said functions and collect more fat oil dripping down while grilling.
