Abstract
Installation of hot water radiators in order to reduce consumption on electrically heated units by becoming a secondary heat source.
Description
SPecifications The primary objective is to reduce electricity cost by reducing the usage of electrically heated units in each apartment.
This concept can be done by circul~ting 140 deg. F. domestic hot water through radiators, which can produce approximately 800 Btu/hr of heat per linear foot, during no dem~n-l time.
Disclosure of the Invention My concept is to reduce energy cost by reducing the usage of electrically heated units.
A first embodiment of the invention is to connect a new copper pipe into the existing domestic hot water in each apartment and circulate 140 deg. F. domestic water.
A second embodiment of the invention is the in~t~ tion of a new motorized valve on the new connection to give priority for domestic usage instead of heating usage, A third embodiment of the invention is to tie in the new circulating pipe into the existing recirc~ ting pipe in each apartment.
A fourth embodiment of the invention is the flow for heating to be inversely proportional to the domestic hot water flow.

Claims (4)
1. The addition of a circulating line from A to B and B to C
2. The addition of a return line from C to D
3. The addition of motorized and balancing valves
4. The use of the flowmeter, automatic variable speed for the recirculating pump and automatic control to achieve an inversely proportional relationship between the domestic hot water flow and the flow for heating.
