Abstract
A plastic eyelet includes a female eyelet having an annular locking jaw on the inner circumference thereof and a male eyelet having an annular protrusion on the outer circumference of a cylindrical column thereof and an uneven surface on a bottom plate thereof so that, once they are combined, they can not be separated or spun freely each other.
They can be easily recycled since the material of the sheet is the same one as the eyelet.
They can be easily recycled since the material of the sheet is the same one as the eyelet.
Description
A PLASTIC EYELET
BAC~GROUND OF THE INVENTION
1. Field of the Invention The present invention relates generally to a plastic eyelet and, more particularly, to a plastic eyelet having a male eyelet and a female eyelet to be engaged each other.
BAC~GROUND OF THE INVENTION
1. Field of the Invention The present invention relates generally to a plastic eyelet and, more particularly, to a plastic eyelet having a male eyelet and a female eyelet to be engaged each other.
2. Description of the Prior Art Since the conventional eyelet was made of nonferrous metals such as aluminium or copper alloy, it was weak in strength. In addition, it has constituted common male and female eyelets so that they have been easily separated from each other by impact in use, and even come off from a sheet of texture or plastic. Such a sheet could not be used because it would be torn itself.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
It is an object of the present invention to provide a plastic eyelet including a female eyelet having an annular locking jaw on the inner circumference thereof, and a male eyelet having an annular protrusion on the outer circumference of the cylindrical column thereof and an uneven surface on the bottom plate thereof.
2l2~I6s Other features and additional advantages of the invention will be disclosed in the following description, taken in connection with the accompanying drawings.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
Fig.1 is a perspective view of an eyelet according to the invention when exploded; and Fig.2 is a longitudinal cross-sectional view of an eyelet according to the invention when engaged.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
As shown in Fig.1, the plastic eyelet according to the invention includes a female eyelet 1 and a male eyelet 2. The male eyelet 2 includes a bottom plate 8 and a cylindrical column 4. An annular locking jaw 3 is formed on the inner circumference of the female eyelet 1. An annular protrusion 5 is formed on the outer circumference of the cylindrical column 4 of the male eyelet 2 and an uneven surface 6 is formed on the bottom plate 8 of the male eyelet 2.
As described hereinbefore, the cylindrical column 4 of the male eyelet 2 is upwardly engaged in a hole formed on the sheet 7 such as plastic, and then the female eyelet 1 is downwardly forced to be combined with the male eyelet 2. The characteristic of the plastic enables the annular locking jaw 3 of the female eyelet 1 to go beyond and combine with the annular protrusion 5 on the cylindrical column 4 of the male eyelet 2, as shown in Fig.2. Accordingly, the sheet 7 surrounding the 2l2~l65 hole is surely engaged between the bottom portion of the female eyelet 1 and the uneven surface of the bottom plate 8. Once they are combined, they can not be separated or spun freely each other when they connected to a post (not shown) by a string or a belt. Additionally, since the material of the sheet 7 is the same one as the eyelet, it is not necessary to separate the eyelet from the sheet 7 in order to throw away them, comparing with the conventional nonferrous eyelet. That is, they can be recycled by direct fusing themselves so that it is useful to remove public nuisances.
While the fundamental novel features of the invention have been shown and described, it will be understood from the disclosure that various substitutions, modifications and variations may be made by those skilled in the art without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention. Accordingly, all such modifications and variations are included within the intended scope of the invention as defined by the claim.
