Abstract

Transducteur, pour émettre des ondes acoustiques basse fréquence, comportant deux moteurs électro-acoustiques alignés sur un axe, placés de part et d'autre d'une contremasse centrale et coaxialement à l'intérieur d'un boîtier cylindrique creux, recouvrant l'ensemble desdits moteurs jusqu'aux pavillons d'extrémité de ceux-ci et rempli dudit liquide. Ledit boîtier est en matériau résistant à la pression et élastique, et comporte une ouverture périphérique circulaire au voisinage de son plan médian; les dimensions de celle-ci, ainsi que les caractéristiques dudit boîtier sont déterminées telles que par couplage de l'élasticité du boîtier avec la masse de liquide située dans ladite ouverture, la fréquence d'Helmholtz de la cavité déterminée par le boîtier est voisine de la fréquence fondamentale des vibrations axiales de l'ensemble constitué par lesdits moteurs électro-acoustiques, ladite contre-masse et lesdits pavillons.Transducer, for emitting low frequency acoustic waves, comprising two electro-acoustic motors aligned on an axis, placed on either side of a central countermass and coaxially inside a hollow cylindrical case, covering the assembly from said motors to the end pavilions thereof and filled with said liquid.
