Abstract
Abstract of the disclosure Device for fixing and supplying nozzles In the device for fixing and supplying one or more nozzles, which device consists essentially of a tubular mount which has a circular cross-section and in which the product feed, devices for spraying gas and control gas and, if appropriate, heating devices for product and gas are arranged, the device consists of a mount (10) which has a fin-like cross-section (A, B, C, D) and has channels (5, 6, 7, 8, 9) for product, spraying gas and control gas, heating medium and tie-rods. The mount (10) is provided at its ends with transition blocks (3, 4) which are designed as an abutment for the tie-rods (12), one of the transition blocks (4) bearing the nozzle (1) and the other transition block (3) bearing a flange (2).
Description
2 1 ~2~
HOEC~ST AKTIENGESELLSCHAFT HOE 92/F 343 DPh.HS/As Device for fixing and 6upplying nozzles The invention relates to a device for fixing and supply-ing one or more nozzles, which device consi~ts essenti-ally of a tubular mount having a circular cros6-~ection in which the product feed, devices for spraying ga6 and control gas and, if appropriate, heating devices for product and gas are arranged.
Spraying of liquid~ i~ among the fundamental functions of process engineering. In many industrial apparatuses or pipelines, substances have to be sprayed in dis601ved, molten or dispersed form or as pure liquid~ or mixtures thereof. Apart from 6imple functions such as, for example, humidifying a gas in a pipeline, more difficult problems such as the spraying of, for example, melts at high temperatures have to be solved.
Particuiarly high requirements are made if additional process-engineering operations have to be carried out simultaneously. For example, in spray granulation, granulation, drying and spraying take place simultane-ously in the fluidized bed. In many of these cases the spraying requires heated feedline~ and heated nozzles.
Since it is very often necessary to arrange the nozzle in the center of an apparatus or of a pipeline or to install a plurality of nozzles concentrically, the nozzle is connected to the wall by a pipe. The nozzles are then supplied with control gas, spraying gas, liquid product or products and heating liquid partly in this pipe or else in an additional line outside this pipe, the line for the heating liquid being laid, for example, concentrically around the product line.
A disadvantage of the known de~ign~ i9 that the holding pipe become~ too thick, thereby disturbing the flow ~2~4~
profile of the fluidized bed. Nozzle and holding pipe are joined to one another by screw fastenings, making it necessary, because of the low contact pressure of such screw fastenings, to provide flexible gasket~, whose permissible operating temperatures, at the pressure~
prevailing, are generally limited to 130C.
In another known design, a thin guide pipe i~ u~ed. The heating return lies parallel with this pipe in the product space, bringing considerable disadvantages. The hot pipeline can represent an ignition source for heat-sensitive product~ or may lead to product changes such as, for example, to thermal degradation or encrustations.
The invention achieves its object by means of a device consisting of a mount which has a fin-like crocs-section and channels for product, spraying gas and control ga~, heating devices and tie-rods; the mount i8 provided at it~ ends with tran~ition block~ which are designed as an abutment for the tie-rod~, one of the transition blocks bearing the nozzle and the other transition block bearing a flange.
The mount can consist of a plurality of elements which are provided with locating pins for fixing to one another and to the transition blocks. The mount and transition blocks can have sealing ~urfaces of equal area. The tran~ition blocks can be provided with recesses for receiving and centering the mount.
By fin-like cross-section is meant cross-sections having an elliptical, rhomboidal or ovate contour.
The advantages of the invention can be seen essentially in its ~treamlined shape, thereby avoiding product depositions. The mount can be made in a simple manner from metal or ceramic by extrusion or casting. Welding is also possible. By the use of tie-rods for holding together the parts, flat gaskets can be used.
