Abstract

A method and apparatus is disclosed to enable the modification of the gaseous atmosphere contained around a given product housed within a sealed receptacle. More specifically, the present invention is directed to a method and apparatus for extracting, modifying or exchanging the gaseous atmosphere within a closed, sealed receptacle while preventing the collapse of said receptacle.
