Abstract

IN BRIEF
The device is an optical frame temple arm that incorporates a 'build in or attached clip arrangement' by which the eyewear via the temple arm 'clip' may be temporarily attached to clothing, example: a pocket, thereby securing the eyewear to the person so that the optical frame is prevented from falling, out of a pocket or away from the person who is using the device.
ABSTRACT
The device is a 'clip' that is a part of or attached to an object, thereby being or becoming a part of the object to which it is secured.
The 'clip' as a part of the object is used to temporarily secure the object to the person or another place at the users discretion.
The device is used so that the object to which it is a part of is prevented from loss, falling away from the person, or damage, falling to the floor.

The invention relates to the optical frame / eyewear / glasses manufacturing and the optical accessories industry and or other like interests.
In relation to a component being; the optical frame temple arm - the part to which the frame front (that which holds or contains a lens or glass) is held to the head of the wearer; via pressure and or gravity to the users temples and ears as manufactured, sub contracted, purchased or otherwise recognized as in use by the stated industry.
The left or right, optical frame temple arm, that are presently available are made of various metal and plastic materials and or combinations of these materials. To the best of our knowledge there are nor has there ever been an optical frame temple arm that offered the invention, a device; 'clip', in any form, to the market place any where in the world.
The invention, a device 'clip' optical frame temple arm being a part of the product - as a component (an improved temple arm) would be offered to the optical frame / eyewear / glasses manufacturing and the optical accessories industry and or other like interests as a New invention.
The product would be made available as finished item, licensed and controlled from or in Canada.
The invention, a device 'clip' optical frame temple arm would also be offered as an optical frame temple arm 'clip' attachment, an accessory designed to be used as a part of the left or right temple arm, to the optical frame / eyewear / glasses manufacturing and the optical accessories industry and or other like interests as a New invention.
The product would be made available as finished item, licensed and controlled from or in Canada.
The invention, a device 'clip' resolves a perceived global and personally noted problem of securing a pair of glasses - eyewear; to be considered inclusive of all or any type or form of a eyewear optical device being by prescription or otherwise, such as: reading glasses, sunglasses, safety glasses, fads, fashion or any other object that is considered eyewear for private or industrial use, to the body of the wearer. To temporarily secure the eyewear to the person or another place at the users discretion, so that the pair of glasses is prevented from loss, as in falling away from the person or damage, such as falling to the ground or floor.
The invention, a device 'clip as it is attached and a part of a pair of glasses is made in the form of a spring metal which is sprung in such a way as to pinch towards the outer side of the temple.
When the wearer of the device wishes to temporarily secure the pair of glasses to the person via their clothing such as in a pocket or other place, the spring 'clip' is held open, with the fingers, by gripping the sides. The 'clip' is placed into a position so as to enclose a piece of the users clothing or other material to which the eyewear is to be held in a temporary manner, at the users discretion.
The spring is then released, the eyewear is now attached to the material, by pinch. The user of the device 'clip' may now regain, free the eyewear, by grabbing the frame thereby sliding the material from pinch of the 'clip' spring.

CLARIFICATION; The optical frame / eyewear / glass / glasses or pair of glasses, words as used in this document is to be considered inclusive of all or any type or form of a eyewear optical device being by prescription or otherwise such as: reading glasses, sunglasses, safety glasses, fads, fashion or any other object that is considered eyewear for private or industrial use. This is also meant to include at any time of manufacture by an optical company, a sub contractor or other company and at any time during point of sales distribution be it by agent, wholesaler or the retail trades.
