Abstract
"A combination toothbrush holder, toothpaste holder, and tumbler holder which can be manufactured as one piece or can be detachably secured so that the toothbrush holder maybe attached on any side of the toothpaste holder. In the drawing shown, the toothbrush holder is attached on the right side of the toothpaste holder. The "S" shaped tooth-brush holder having a top hole and a bottom hole to adapt the toothbrush handle in a leaning position with its butt touching an inclined rest to keep the toothbrush in its place and refrain it from being wet by touching the drain pan. A single row of top and bottom hole to as many rows as desired is possible in this invention. The toothpaste holder rectangular in shape has a cutout midway from the open top to approximately past halfway to the front side assuring enough room for pulling and putting back the tooth-paste in it. The toothpaste holder also having its base in-clined with the higher part of the base in front so that the toothpaste will lean backwards. A box like stand holds the toothbrush holder, the toothpaste holder, and the tumbler holder making them including the box like stand itself as one unit. All three sides of the box like stand are flush at the bottom to allow the invention to stand freely on a flat surface, but the front side is cutout halfway from the middle to the bottom to give way for a screw driver in mounting the invention to a wall through holes in the back side of the box like stand?.
Description
1 - 2065 ~ 64 _ This invention relates to a toothbrush holder and in a preferred form to a combination toothbrush holder, toothpaste holder, and tumbler holder that may stand freely on a flat surface or may be wall mounted.
There are quite a few toothbrush holders, toothpaste holders and tumbler holders in use but none of them offers a better sanitation and arrangement than our invention. There is a toothbrush holder attached to a wall with a few holes on for putting toothbrushes but there is no provision for a drain pan and the bristles touch the holes and the holder is therefore unsanitary. Although there is a big hole in the middle for a tumbler, it cannot hold all sizes because there is no base and the tumbler will go through if its diameter is too small. Some toothbrush holders are merely the shape of an ordinary cup without a handle and with a lid on with several holes to put the toothbrushes through. Although in this type, the bristles do not touch the holes, the toothbrushes lean in any direction because there is nothing to hold their handles at the bottom. We are aware of a combination toothbrush, toothpaste, and tumbler holder but it is the same as the aforementioned, the toothbrushes and the toothpaste can lean on any direction and it is therefore untidy to look at.
We found out that these disadvantages can be overcome by providing a toothbrush holder structure providing an upper hole, a lower hole spaced downwardly and backwardly from the upper hole and a downwardly extending wall adjacent and spaced backwardly from the lower hole on which the lower end of a handle of a toothbrush rests when the handle is inserted downwardly through `- 20651 64 the upper and lower holes.
In the preferred form the holder is an S shaped toothbrush holder with a top hole and bottom hole for the toothbrush handle to go through and an inclined rest for the butt the purpose of which is to lock the toothbrush handle with the holes and the inclined rest itself. Furthermore, a drain pan is preferably provided attached to the inclined rest and under the two holes.
Attached to the side of the toothbrush holder in the preferred form is the toothpaste holder with a cutout in the top front portion of it for the ease of putting in and pulling out the toothpaste. The base of the toothpaste holder is inclined with the higher portion in front so that the toothpaste will lean backward. The tumbler holder situated just beside the drain pan is circular in shape and big and deep enough to hold all tumbler sizes. The toothbrush holder, toothpaste holder, and tumbler holder may be attached to a box like stand so designed as to allow them to stand freely on a flat surface as desired by the user or to be mounted to a wall through holes provided at the back side of the box like stand.
In drawings which illustrate the invention, Figure I is the front elevation of the invention, Figure II is the side elevation of the invention showing how the toothbrush and the toothpaste may be placed accordingly. Figure III is the perspective view from the front side and Figure IV is its perspective view from the back side.
The invention illustrated is a combination toothbrush holder, toothpaste holder, and tumbler holder, all rested on top of a box like stand to form a single unit. The ~': .
"toothbrush holder" has vertically alligned holes 1 and 2 although they are in a slanting position from a side elevation to hold the "toothbrush~ 3 in a slanting position.
The "hole" 1 is elliptical in shape to ensure more roo~
when sliding the "toothbrush" 3 into it. "Hole" 2 could be in any shape and serves as a guide to hold the "toothbrush"

3 in place.
The "butt" 4 of the ~toothbrush"3 will settle on the "inclined rest" 5 to give the "toothbrush" 3 more stability by squeezing the "toothbrush handle" between the top cir-cumference of "hole~ 1 to the bend portion of the "hole"
2. Furthermore, the "inclined rest" ~ will prevent the "butt" 4 from being wet by touching the "drain pan" 8.
The "toothbrush" 3 therefore settles securely through ~'holes" 1 and 2 to the ~inclined rest" 5 so that the "drips"
6 from the "bristle" 7 and "toothbrush handle" will fall on the "drain pan" 8. "Base" 9 of the rectangular shaped "toothpaste holder" is inclined with the higher portion in front so that the "toothpaste" 10 will lean backward against the "backwall" 11 of the "toothpaste holder~. An even cutout is adapted midway from the open top to more than halfway down to the ~front wall" 12. This even cutout along the "sidewalls" 13 and 14 makes it diagonally alligned with the top rows of "elliptical" holes 1, This "toothpaste holder" is attached along one thorough side of the "tooth-brush holder".
- Z065~ 64 A "box like stand" holds the "toothbrush holder", "toothpaste holder", and the "tumbler holder". It is hol-low from the bottom except for the "drain pan" 8 and the "tumbler holder" 15 both of which are recessed downward from the top of the "box like stand". The two "sides" 16 and the "backside" 17 of the "box like stand" are flush at the bottom as to allow the invention to stand freely on a flat surface. The "front side" 18 however is cutout halfway from the middle to the bottom as to give way for the use of a screwdriver in mounting the invention to a "wall" 20 through "fasteners" 19 in the "holes" 21. The "box like stand" therefore enables the invention to stand freely on a flat surface or secured by fasteners to a wall.
The perspective view in Figure III shows the cutout in the front upper portion of the "toothpaste holder"
and the "drain pan" 8 obstacle free above it for easy access to cleaning. A small "lid" 22 in front and along the outer side of the "drain pan" 8 prevents the "drips"
6 from going out.
The perspective view of Figure lV shows the neat arrangement of "holes" 1 and 2 to enyulf the "toothbrush handle~ in one specific direction, and the "holes" 21 for mounting to a ~wall" 20 by means of fasteners.
