Abstract
Abstract "The invention is a device to be placed upon or over the neck of a standard bottle designed specifically for the holding of beer(s), ale(s) or lager(s). Once in place the invention allows for ready identification of the owner of the bottle through the name imprinted upon the side of the invention."
Description
Specificat.ion The invention relates to the ready identification of the ownership of a specific bottle in a situation where such identification is necessary.
In most situations in which beer is consumed from bottles the only means to identify which bottle is owned by oneself is through the brand of the beer and the placement of the bottle in relation to other items near~y. ~ue to the intoxicating effects of beer it is often difficult to actively identify which bottle is yours. This oan often result in the need to open a new bottle or to take one which may or may not be yours.
This problem could be overcome by means of placing an identifying mark or device upon the bottle. To be useful the device would need to fit comfortably upon the bottle and be re-usable. A ring of plastic or a similar mater-ial-imprinted with a relative name would make identification possible.
In the drawings which illustrate the invention, Figure--t1) shows a top view of the invention, Figure (2) the bottom view of the invention, Figure (3) a cross section of the invention, and ~igure t4) the side view of the invention.
The Beer-ring, which is to be composed of plastic, vinyl or some similar substance which has slight elasticity, has an opening at both the top tFigure 1) and the bottom (Figure ?).
The wider opening is placed over the mouth of the beer bottle and the ring is allowed to slide down over the neck of the bottle.
On the side of the ~eer-ring (Figure 3) a name will be imprinted through painting, electrostating or some other adhesive means such that it will not be easily removed.
