Description
2~2~
A Vene-tian Blind with the capability of Regulating its Length and Width The invention is according to a venet~an blind used to regulate the intensity of the indoor light and to shade the sun light in the living environments, the structure of the new design, in particular, a venetian blind with the capability of regul~ting its length and wid~h comprising with a ~ky rall and a lower beam which are mutually latched in a tri-sectional mode and have the capability of expanding and contracting, ixing slices at the hole positions of the pulling rope on the lower beam to provide the ladder rope an~ the pulling rope fixing positions wherein holes of the pulling ropes on both sides of the blind are vertically long holes, and basic com-ponents of known venetian blinds. It is only necessary to cut the extra part of the blind to regulate the width by contract-ing the sky rail and the lower beam, to pull down the end of the pulling rope to let the pulling rope be fixed by the .ixing slice and make the lower beam upward, to cut the extra blinds to regulate thP length.
< Descriptions of the Invention ~
A venetian blind with the capability of regulating its length and width is characterized by: the expanding and con-tracting function of the sky rail and the lower rail, verti-cally long holes on both lateral holes of a blind, and fixing 21~2~
slices connected under the lower beam and with holes for the pulling rope to be stopped reversely; and makes the venetian blind able to suitably regulate its length and width even upon a smaller window to have the progressi~e efficiency o~ the use oE an absolutely fitted size.
< Conventional Techniques and their Drawbacks >
The conventional venetian blind 3 mainly comprises with a regulating device 31 connected inside a s~y rail 32, a pulling rope 33 and a ladder rope 34 connected under the sky rail 32 to provide the blind 35 with connection of fi~ed distance, a lower beam 37 connected at the lowest end, a plug body 37 con-nec~ted with the pulling rope, and a lower beam 36 conn~cted with the ladder rope (shown in fi~ure 1 and 2). Athough venetian blinds 3 similar to this structure can provide con-necting usages to windows and achieve the expected ePficiency of regulating the light intensity ~nd shading the sun light, in practical installation and uses, the size may not fit the window since the venetian blind had its own size when it was made and the window had its own size when the house was built.
For ordinary customers of the pass, they used venetian blinds no matter the sizes were fitted or not. It was practi-cally unmatched.
For present customers, it is no more acceptable to use this unmatched and ugly venetian b:Lind for the reasons of en-vironmental e~fects and high consuming consciousness. While . I
, ' ~ , ~2~
they buy their venetian blinds, they always ask for the one which absolutely fits the size and matched in installation.
However the venetian blinds have had their own ~ixed sizes, it is necessary to cut off extra parts of the sky rail and the lower b~am, and to cut off part of the blinds r in case the size is not fitted during installation. It will have the draw-back o~ time consuming and inconvenience. IE the lenghth is too long, it is necessary to take the extra blinds out, and cut o~f the extra parts of the ladder rope and ~he pulling rope~ Since the pulling rope is hidden under the lower beam, and the ladder rope is fixed by the fixed plug body which has no extra through hole for the ladder rope to pass through and make the lower beam unreducible, it is trivial and incon-venient in regulating the length.

< Technical Skills for Solving the Difficulties >
A venetian blind with the capability of regulating it~
length and width mainly comprises with a s~y rail and a lower beam which are latched and assembled in tri-sectional mode wherein the sky rail and the lower beam have the expanding and contraating function, holes of the pulling rope on both sides of the blinds shaped as vertically long holes to provide the pulling rope move horizontally, and fixing slices under the holes of the pulling rope on both sides of the lower beam wherein the ~ixing slices have holes of the pulling rope which can stop reverse movement and can let the pulling rope be pulled downward directly to sustain the lower beam upward and ~2~
fix it to make the venetian b1ind ha~e the capability of ~egulatiny its length and width.
< Intentions of the Invention >
The first intention of the invention is to provide a venetian blind with the capability o~ regulating its length and width, whe~ein it can make the venetlan blind suitable for the installation of smaller windows and thus have a larger ap-plicable scope with the economic and pratical efficiency.
The second intention of the invention is to prov:ide a~
venetian blind with the capability of regulating its length and width, wherein it ca~ contract the sky rail and the lower beam during regulat~ng the length and width, in addition, ~t can regulate the length and w1dth of the blinds by pulIing the pulling rope downard directly and raising the lower beam, which especially has the practical e~ficiency of easy and fast regulatlng for the installation and utillzation.
.
< Embodiment of the Invention >
In order to ~ake the contents and functional efficiency of the present inYention clear, a detailed description for a embodi.ment of the invention is introduced as following:
As shown in figure 3, a venetian blind with -the capability of regulating it~ length and width, the venetian blind 2 mainly comprises with a regulating device 21 on a fixed position inside the sky rail 22, a pulling rope23 and 2~2~
ladder rope 24 connected with the sky rall 22 to support a latching position with the blind 25, a lower beam 26 connected with the lower endg of the pulling rope 23 and ladder rope 24, and a fixed sli~e to latch and fix. The venetian blind, in ad-dition of the conYentional regulating davice 21, pulling rope 23, and ladder rope 24 of ordinary venetian blindsr is charac-terized ~y:
the sky rail 22, which is assembled by three small sec-tions and can slide and displace mutual~y to get a suitable e~panding and contracting;
the blind 25, which has vertical long holes for the holes 251 of the pulling rope on both sides;
lower beam 26, which is a groove body opened upward and through at both ends r assembled by three small sections wherein they can slide and displace to have the expanding and contracting funct~on, in addition, there is a throùgh hole 261 opposite to the pulling rope 23 on aaah section to let the pulling rope 23 pass through downward;
a fixed slice 27, which is mutually inlayed and com-plementarily shaped with the lower baam 26r wherein there are two through holes 271 on both sides to provide the two lower ends of the ladder rope 24 to pass throughr and the passed ends are pushed upward by the fixing slice 27 to close to the lower paxt of the lower beamr and the center llas a hole 272 for the pulling rope, and the hola 272 is a stellar type and convex downward, and after latching the pulling rope 23 downward, to create the reverse stopping function for the hole 2 ~
272 of the pulling rope and make the pulling rope 23 can be pulled only downward, and the extra part is cut off.
By changing the components as described above, the inven-tion not only has the functional efficiency of ordlnary venetian blinds, but also make suitable contraction on the width by the sky rail 22 and the lower beam 26 ( shown in figure 4 and 5). It is only needed to suitably cut off the ex-tra length of the blind 25 to get the entire reducing regulation, and even the smaller windows can be matched.
In addition, since the hole 272 of the pulling rope of the fixing slice 27 has the function of stopping revese movement~, the pulling rope can be only pulled downward not~
upward, and it will sustain the lower beam 26 displace upward (referred to figure 6 and 7). It is thus only necessary to reduce the distance between the sky rail 22 and the lower beam 25, take the blinds between out, and then the entire length of the venetian blind is regulated.
Tbe sky rail 22 and the lower beam 26 of the venetian:
blind described above can be made of metal materi~al to make it possible to use the clamp to have the length of the sky rail and the lower beam fixed ater regulating the length o the sky rail and the lower beam.
Therefore the present invention in use will not only have the function of regulating the light intensity and shading the sun light, but also have the following expectable progressive e~ficiency at least:
1. regulating the entire length and width of the venetian blind to fit windows with a smaller width and length and to match them with a suitably matched size during installation 2. regulating the width only in need o~ contracting the sky rail and the lo~er beam, and after ~ixing them, cutting the extra parts of the blinds, which has the progress of easily and fast regulating the width.
