Abstract

A catalyst which consists of an aluminumtrialkyl and the entire product from the reaction of a ground magnesium alcoholate with a tetravalent titanium compound and a halogen-containing organoaluminum compound its used for the homopolymerization of ethylene or the copolymeriza-tion of ethylene with other 1-olefins. A polymer of coarse particle size and high bulk density is obtained.
