Abstract

Advanced epoxy resins are disclosed which can be obtained by reacting liquid or semi-solid aromatic epoxy resins with aliphatic diols, and subsequently reacting the reaction product with mono- or binuclear bisphenols in the presence of a cyclic quaternary ammonium salt.
