HA285 ABSTRACT ACYLMERCAPTOALKANOYL AND MERCAPTOALKANOYL DERIVATIVES OF ARYL AND ARALKYL SULFINYL OR SULFONYL L- PROLINES This invention provides new acyl mercaptoalkanoyl and mercaptoalkanoyl derivatives of aryl and aralkyl sulfinyl or sulfonyl prolines of the formula wherein n is one or two and the other substituents are as defined herein. These new compounds possess angiotensin converting enzyme inhibition activity and thus are useful as anti-hypertensive agents.
