Description

: : - - .. , , . .. - The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for the treatment of textile threads emitting pollutants-your, like, for example, asbestos threads.
It is commonly used in the treatment of threads giving off pollutants to use suitable processes and apparatus tional. In these cases, either the ventilation of the whole ble of the workshop, ie the individual ventilation of each machine.
The processes and the devices used have drawbacks major which consist firstly, in the degree of pollution which significantly exceeds the allowable standards and secondly, in the appreciable cost of energy during drying.
The method and the apparatus for the treatment of textile threads, in accordance with the present invention, have as primary objective to ensure the protection of workers during the processing of this type of textile products and especially in the case of yarns asbestos.
Method and apparatus for treating textile yarns have a second goal of achieving significant savings of energy during drying by a quantitatively consistent impregnation and by an adequate standardization of the drying temperature. We know that conventional means of impregnation use very dilute solutions, which requires increased consumption ~; of energy to remove excess water.
The objectives listed above, as well as other objectives have been reached by a process and an apparatus, the progress of which yarn is followed by a quantitatively controlled impregnation and drying, all three taking place in the same sealed environment.
Drying occurs simultaneously with the suction of hot air, discharged to the atmosphere through the filters. In regards to the device designed to carry out the above process, it contains means of storing and unwinding the wires, followed by impregnation means, intended to control the quantity of the product impregnation deposited on the wires by the speed and the direction of rotation tion of the impregnation drum. Speed and direction of rotation of the drum, a reciprocating lateral movement of the wires as well as the thread speed allow this control to be carried out.
The impregnation means are followed by drying means.
These include a carcass with tubes and drive pulleys.
ment. The vacuuming of the tubes in the wire outlet area allows hot air to enter the interior of the tubes and circulate '' .

in the same direction as the moving ril causing drying of the last. The drying means are followed by means of retention of polluting substances. These means of retention include provide a source of compressed air and a fan that drive the air sucked into the tubes and direct it to a filter which rejects the air purified to the atmosphere.
Relating to the drawings which illustrate the apparatus intended for put the method into practice, FIG. 1 is a schematic representation of the device, Figure 2 shows a side view of the closure device.
~ 054313 The textile thread processing apparatus releasing pcus-sires, especially asbestos yarn, includes means of laying and unwinding for the wires 1, including a waterproof box 2 in relation to the environment other than the whole apparatus, box which is placed under vacuum and which contains supports 3 for coils 4. Wires 5, leaving the box 2, pass through impregnation means 6 which include an enclosure 7, sealed by relation to the environment other than the whole device, enclosure 7 including an impregnation tank 8, in which are partially submerged one or more drums 9. This drum 9, always being in contact with wires 5, turns either in the direction of wires 5 or in the opposite direction of these. By varying the speeds of the wires 5, drum 9 and also the direction of rotation of it, we can control the quantity of impregnation product to be deposited on the wires 5. The enclosure 7 also includes a guide device 10, of the type conventional, which keeps the wires 5 in contact with the drum 9 and the animates a lateral movement back and forth perpendicular to the wires 5.
The impregnation means 6 are followed by drying means 11.
Zes last include a carcass 12, crossed by tubes input 13 of wires 5, followed by drive pulleys 14 and outlet tubes 15 of these wires 5. Hot air, supplied by a source of conventional heat 16, is set in motion around the tubes inlet 13 and outlet 15 by a fan 17. Part of the air hot, which is moving in the carcass 12, enters the interior ~ laughing of the inlet tubes 13 through holes 18 located near the area - Penetration of the wires 5 into these tubes. The outlet tubes 15 are provided with orifices 19 located in an area 20 which is located near the output of the wires 5 already treated. These orifices 19 are surrounded by a enclosure 21 placed under vacuum. Means of retention of substances pollutants 22, during unwinding, impregnation and drying, include a source of compressed air 23 which entrains, by a jet, the air hot from the inlet tubes 13 and the outlet tubes 15 to a filter 24.
A fan 25 rejects the air purified by the filter into the atmosphere 24. The inlet tubes 13 communicate with the outlet tubes 15 in the area of the drive pulleys 14 via a disposi ~
closing tif 26, which seals the system in said zone.
The closure device 26 comprises a body 27, provided with passages 28 which form the connection between the inlet tubes 13 and the outlet 15, and also an axle support 29 for the drive pulleys 14. The body 27 and each drive pulley are closed by elements 30, parallel and independent, which pivot around the mass graves ~,.
.:
~ 054313 31 and which are provided with channels 32 for the passage of air from dried and threads 5.
The wires 5 leave the drying means 11 by traction of any device. The waterproof box 2 which is part of storage and unwinding means 1 of the wires, communicates with the enclosure 7, also waterproof with respect to the environment and appears relating to printing means B ation 6. These two enclosures are placed in depression by means of a fan 33. Thus, in achieving depression, pollutants are collected by a filter 34.
